Can I get banned for using add-ons?
Addons are allowed. You can’t get banned for using addons.

Yes, they’re allowed. That’s why Blizzard made a special folder for you to place them in, and a button in the game to change the settings on them. It’s all legit

As long as the addons are in your Interface > Addons folder then they are allowed.
You can download them using the twitch app or sites like https://legacy-wow.com/classic-addons/
Some addons come from completely separate third party websites.
