Hey.
Just noticed that buffed dmg from augmentation count on logs but not on details.
Are evokers getting flamed in M+ or raid PuGs due to this since they will be bottom meter always ?

Only by bottom group
so like… most pugs ![]()
That’s why i asked if any evokers had experience with this
Pretty much why i only play devastation atm. It looks fun but nit looking to get flamed
Haven’t seen a single Aug Evo being flamed, but maybe I just avoided groups like that
I’ve heard and seen numerous reports. Alas this was to be expected. It was the same with Enha shamans during sanctum since windfury damage wasnt displayed on details so everyone thought they were bad while they were infact meta in every raid grp that had warriors and rogues.
I understand the frustration in that case then
I understand that skilled/good groups know their value, I just saw a freehold +26 video with an aug evoker, and on details they are below healer,
But if you check raid logs, all the buffed dmg count as their own dmg, so they are high damage.
I’m sure the devs of recount addons are aware of that and change that soon.
But yeah, I’ve noticed the difference between ingame recount and wowlogs in my last guild run as well.
Still sucks that so many players, mainly in pugs, flame others unnecessarily without using their head first, which sadly isn’t anything new^^
And then there be gigabrains who do stuff like this…

I mean you can check all his logs. If they dont fix the spec by next raid tier you can take a really wild guess how the RWF teams are gonna look like (even if RWF doesnt matter they will pick whatever is strongest and right now…well)
Someone said that their raid had the boss kill time of 7 minutes…7 minutes to kill all of the bosses of the raid:P
Blizzard have a hard “No fun allowed” Policy.
That means no class stacking and no cheesing.
Even if i would enjoy these type of raids a lot more.
If they notice this, say hello to Mr Nerf hammer
They wont nerf the augmentation, instead they will nerf the classes that are boosted alot because of the augmentation buffs wich is mage, paladins, enhancement shamans
I’ve not seen many people flaming from first hand experience, but I’m the one making the groups, and I usually throw out a silly remark at the beginning at how funny it is people think augmentation is useless.
That being said, I’ve seen many a screenshot since patch day of people getting booted or called useless. We just have to hope details gets updated to show how much damage augmentation is actually providing, or hope people start understanding that augmentation’s performance doesn’t show through meters, even though it’s an incredibly strong spec, DPS and survivability wise.
Pugs flame over nothing
if you kick an augment for low damage, you basically got your damage cut in half.
It depends on the level you’re playing at, I guess.
I pugged a few keys with a couple of guildies earlier, and we were deliberately looking for augment evokers, to the extent that we asked 2 who joined as devastation if they wanted to try it, and cheerfully sat and chatted for 10 minutes while they sorted out their talents and bars.
People are way too focused on the DPS number.
It’s important yes, but what’s just as important is how that’s being enabled, and there are a lot of things that go into that.
Good players understand this. Clearly some do not. I encourage you to ignore them. If you get removed from a group due to low Augmentation DPS, consider it a privilege.
I’m kind of seen a lot of “aug pref” keys in the finder today.
Been running entirely with a community/friends, but it’s interesting how many people really want one in the pug world - even for +18s. Really seems to kick off at 22 and up, but I don’t really have the RIO to support it yet.
From experience though… as devastation I will typically pull 85-105k overall (I’m not very good) depending on the dungeon. Only ask me to be augmentation if you are better than that. If your base dps is less than mine would have been, then ask me to play devastation - and feel free to invite literally any dps instead of putting “aug pref” in your group title ![]()
However, I do think the tank/healer appreciate Ebon Might, and I’m learning how to use Obsidian Scales as a Rallying Cry, and weave it with Zephyr such that I fire off a group defensive on a lot of damage events. It really helps to have a background of healing characters because I kind of instinctively know when I would want to ask the party to use a defensive, and now I can use it for them!
Of course, nobody is going to look for THAT in the logs. The only person who’s going to know that Obsidian Scales prevented a wipe will be the augvoker ![]()
On the whole, I think augmentation might actually shine more on tyrannical week. A group that can barely get through fortified won’t get any faster with an augvoker - but I think it’s survivability goes up and chances of wiping go down. Assuming they’re aware that they’re not just a 1-trick Ebon Might bringer. Which I suspect a lot won’t be, at least not for a while ![]()
