Are dwarves and gnomes just small humans?

Sorry for the ultra - noob question.

Are they humans with birth deficiencies? Or is something else laying in their truth?

Do they lack anything? Are they more or less intelligent? Are they more or less strong?

This coming from you, where intelligence is always lacking. No decent conversation happens with trolls like you.

Short version:
Dwarves gnomes and humans are titan constructs turned into fleshy beings by the old gods as fleshy beings are easier to manipulate.
Gnomes are small but make up for it with there natural intelligence.
Dwarves had in classic the ability to active stoneform which made them posion immune and resistant to magic.
Among other bonuses.
Dwaves are lorewise very stuborn people but also very steadfast.
They are slow to forgive and even slower to betray.
They also are stronger then humans.
And those fithly mon-keigh are as they are in every other universe master of all trade.
Bland, boring, underesting and somehow beter then everyone.

Pretty much disregard everything Daelinna says, as it is simply not true Unless it is about humans, they will always be dismissive of anything else, They’re like that racist member of the family who everyone goes “oh, they’re just set in their ways” before wiping their drool and handing them another cup of tea.

Malaficus pretty much nailed it. Common origins, however always separate people, the Humans weren’t even designed that way, but -were- a birth defect amongst the Vrykul humanoids of Northrend, Dwarves were originally stone creatures, the Earthen, and Gnomes were mechanical constructs ‘Cursed’ with Flesh, but all three were Titan creations yeah.

They are entirely separate races. Gnomes are the most intelligent, Dwarves are the strongest, Humans are the most versatile. These are generalisations obviously, but they are typical traits. There are other differences, apart from size, obviously.

Gnomes have only three fingers and a thumb, as opposed to four fingers and a thumb like humans. Interestingly this is a trait they share with Goblins, perhaps this is why their engineering is difficult for non Gnomes/Goblins to learn, we think in base Decimal, they think in base Eight, their mathematical system is likely to be completely different to ours as a result.

They live longer than humans, around three centuries or so, and the comedy quirky act? Yeah, it is an act, they are an incredibly intelligent people who are very aware that the world will not take them seriously, if they try to throw their weight around, so they act quirky. They are -definitely- not short humans.

Dwarves, like Gnomes, tend to live longer than humans, in fact about the same age, as it goes, 300 years or so. They are a resilient people, with a preference to living underground (Perhaps due to their Earthen heritage) Whilst a stubborn people, and set in their ways, they are keen explorers, and often at the forefront of Alliance efforts to learn more about the world, ‘No finer friend, No Worse enemy’ is a phrase that springs to mind. If you have a Dwarf watching your back, they will stay there till the end, if you have a Dwarf in your face attacking you, then make your peace with your Gods, it rarely ends well.
Like Gnomes, they have a lower centre of gravity than humans, you absolutely cannot kick them like a football without shattering your bones. They have a different origin from Humans, and are most definitely not the same race.

I really recommend reading on wowpedia to get everything basic regarding wow. And this also makes me feel the questlines in Northrend should be mandatory.

Not really, both dwarves and gnomes directly come from titan constructs just like vrykul. Humans however are degenerated discount vrykul

I prefer term evolved rather than degenerated.

Yeah, Anyone who thinks Humans are degenerated Vrykuls is blind. It’s like saying that the Human Sapiens is a degenerated ape.

Ehhh, it isn’t that simple. Do you mean physically? Then yes, Humans are degenerated Vrykul, just as Sapiens is degenerated primates, in purely physical terms.
Do you mean intellectually? then it seems humans are pretty much the same as Vrykul, whereas Sapiens has clearly developed more complex thought processes than primates, so could not be classed as devolved.

So…technically…Yes, WoW’s Humans are a degeneration of Vrykul, they have no advantages, and only a disadvantage to their parent species. That makes them a degeneration.

So, according to this logic, elves are degenerated trolls? And Sin’dorei are a second step of degeneration, lacking the physical prowess of the Kaldorei and suffering from magic addiction?

They are just mana-addicted crack headed thugs.

Imagine having such a bad addiction that you mutate into a frail race.

You’re not wrong. Just look at all the scoliosis that the darkspear have, genetic perfection right there.

Are we talkin about Blood Elves or Nightborne, I can’t tell.

Females have straight backs. Feel free to explain this, I am sure Blizzard covered it somewhere.

IIRC, most Darkspear males take a hunched stance as a sign of respect

Standing straight, Darkspear troll males are almost as tall as Zandalari trolls.

Edit: This might just be headcanon, as I was unable to find a source confirming it after a cursory search

They stole Human females and painted them blue. Simple.

Depends on how you view it.

Curse of Flesh is also called the Gift of Flesh, depending whether you are pro-titan or pro-old god.

Flesh appears to be a certainty for all Titan creations, the old gods only sped up the process.

The Magnaron (Created by Aggramar) on Draenor became fleshy Gronn after incidents with the Botanni (not old gods), so it shows that flesh is a certainty.
