Never played on them but i assume they just die after a few weeks? Also are there any polls or something where people will go? Like what faction goes on what server etc?
There’s no way to know, but I would say no.
I cannot imagine them being very busy after Naxx. They’ll be fantastic for levelling. They’ll be great for dungeons and prebis farming, however, will they be enjoyable after Naxx? Probably not.
Look at realms like Gandling on Classic, it was great at the start, but gradually they lose players and not many new ones come in.
Take Ironfoe on SoM, great at the start again, but had to close like Gandling because population issues.
When the “fresh hype” people leave and raiders slowly dwindle, it will become difficult to recruit, find groups etc
There are no fresh era realms, what are you going on about?
Well, the one thing we can know for sure is that playing on a server without an enemy faction is sure as hell not worth it, so yea if you wanna play wotlk, then fresh servers are the only right choice… unless you wanna /hug and sing cumbaya with the other hippies on firemaw/Gehennas ofc…

We don’t know what will happen, so it’s a leap of faith. You’ll have doomers showing up in every post saying they will 100% fail because other stuff that’s sort of similar failed in the past! So yeah. No point trying ever ever again!
I’m going to give it a go and see what happen.
How about you? Do you think it’s worth the risk to have the fresh experience with everyone starting from scratch leveling up and the whole world being alive?
Personally I think it’s worth it and worst case scenario they fail in time. Life will go on somehow

is this a hypothetical question or are you referring to the WotlK new start servers ?
Its simple really. If there is one thing a MMO player fears, it is his server becoming dead.
Thus a fresh server coming out is a direct threat to him (since there is a possibility his own server will bleed players). So he reacts by doing everything possible to discourage other players from going to fresh, by spreading the doom about how fresh servers are going to be dead on arrival.
Basically, a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I know i will make character on fresh, level it up to 40? in this prepatch time and when the wotlk starts, ill go back to my mains on other server.
Maybe the fresh dies or not, but its something i have no power as a single player.
Maybe i misread but i was under the impression those were fresh WotlK servers. No classic “era” that stops at Naxx

Ppl will go to the faction that guarantees highest win rate in bgs, example SoM alliance spoiled AV, all rolled alliance! Classic all went horde coz bg was even, and they didnt want to roleplay. Also fresh is not a thing, and regarding if they worth it… they dont look at all those pservers how bad they ended up after 3 weeks, look how som ended up.
As far as i know, theres only WOTLK fresh servers announced, but OBVIOUSLY there will later be new SoM servers, since its called “seasonal”.
However i doubt those SoM servers are the target of conversation here.

Personally, I think they’re gonna end up like the SoM realms.
The game is simply not designed to be played with so few people.
