Are People Rolling Alts After Clearing Naxx or What?

I see servers are busy and was wondering what are you all doing after you clear/gear up? Start a new character? Spam BG’s?

Are all server linked or is it two groups? How to know?

Also, is it vanilla talents or TBC?

Hi,

Some roll alts, some quit, some go PvP … i guess the choice is different from player to player.

Most servers are grouped into Clusters. There are a total of three clusters: the PvE cluster, combining the three PvE realms and then two PvP clusters, each containing around 10-15 PvP realms.
The Firemaw PvP cluster is by far the biggest one (rated as Full), after that is the PvE cluster rated as Medium.

There are a few “islands”: realms which are not connected to any cluster. One is Zandalari Tribe, which is low-pop but people are going there now to practice levelling before HC servers open.
Another is Hydraxian Waterlords, where the HC community resides.

The classic Era servers are using Vanilla talents, dungeons, raids, gear etc.

Whatever you want. Most people are just rolling fresh to dive back into Vanilla WoW.

Servers are clustered based on type. PvE Realms are linked so you will see people from those realms together, same with PvP. You can tell which are clustered by population when it comes to PvP. RP realms aren’t clustered, which is part of the reason why Hardcore Addon users do their challenges there.

Vanilla Talents.

Appreciate the answer, any way to know which servers are on which cluster? So, as a Horde player -fresh- I can join Firemaw server and will find a large enough Horde player base?

There is a list somewhere in the Blizzard jungle where you can see which realms are connected to what cluster, but for the Firemaw cluster it’s easy: pick any realm marked as “Full”.

You can find the list of connected servers here:

All the full pvp servers is one server, all 10 merged to one. Wont matter in terms of anything, which of those 10 you are on.
So you can have like 50 chars on the same server with 1 acc (think that is the limit), even can have some on diff factions with how the merging works.

Me I spam some bgs just for fun (and to farm some skulls). Just try to get as many kills as possible.
Though Its mainly ab/av for me. So 2 weekends a month.
Ab / av only pops on their respective bg weekends (then they pop quite abit tho, and are the only bgs popping). Rest of the time its only wsg more or less.

Its really not like all bis naxx/aq geared players though. You get some of that in for fun players / grinders ofc.
But the main driving force for bgs are the current rankers; naxx is not all that available even in late late late late p6. You get a mix of everything instead, ranking/ engi gear to zg-mc-bwl- aq geared players.

Ah and low level bgs dont really pop sadly, very little incentive for lvlers to do them.
Beyond that world pvp is fairly active too, you can always find it if you seek it at least.
And you get organic stuff if your just out in the world farming consumes/gold.

For those that are only in it for the loot, or for having cleared naxx, I guess the game ends right there.
There is however more stuff to do if interested.
Exploring, levelling skills, levelling reputations, trying to maximize performance in dungeons or raids, experimenting in dungeons and raids, doing quests, just enjoying a nicely executed raid, soloing stuff etc etc.

Upgrade step by step, the classic way
tier1, tier2, tier3
after about 60 Neff kills loot finally the tear
the pre Naxx part is done for me
now on Naxx once a week, in between PvP and Comsumables Grind, a bit of auction house trading and from time to time a round of Twink PvP
