Are the tanks doing something wrong or is the 2nd last pack in vortex pinnacle overtuned?

Which and where in freehold? We freaking timed that dungeon on +16 if we did not gave our warlock a minute to science the gateway at the end (and when that failed we feeded deaths by sea spout on the bridge :joy: 30 seconds out of time run )

I will go FH over VP Fortified any day of the week.

And others timed Vortex on +15 / +16 while still being stuck on Brackenhide +13 / +14, so…?

I wouldn’t. I don’t like the dungeon ambient in general, same for Underrot and Brackenhide. Would happily run Vortex and Neltharion’s Lair any given day though, timed or not.

Yes. But that is about a…pulling stuff and/or standing in aoe whirlwind damage. Not about just pulling 1 pack at a time and get slapped into the ground by doing exactly what is asked from you. Our tank gets full time 200k melee hits on +14. What can you do?

What was so hard about freehold? I am really wondering? Pulling 3 packs and then wondering why the tank gets slapped by bolstered fortified mobs? If you pull 1 pack at a time in freehold you still time +16 and nothing gets dangerous.

We were talking about packs slapping tho, not ambient?

Up to first boss, the charge + dot chunks. If i do not have the dispel at hand i need to commit with dilation or the person is dead.

The dragon is like, 140k hps worth of a single mob.

The “ghosts” literally chunks 70% of your Hp without bolster. With 2 stacks of bolster, 1 mob ambush literally oneshotted our mage with barrier up.

The little water elementals are another super dangerous pack if CC is not on point.

And last zone oh boy, the double earthquake mob on the last pack.

Freehold mobs in comparison are just annoying with fixates, grips etc. And need to be focused properly, but if you respect bolster, FH is an easy key. (Still harder than BFA, but still on the easy side).

Is this two Evoker healers I’m talking to?

Again, tank class, gear level and also healer ability matter.

And I thought you were talking about which dungeon you prefer to run. Let me check…

Yep. You did.

And leaving the ambient aside only going by the amount of group wipes / tank deaths experienced, I’d still rather go Vortex. :woman_shrugging:t4:

No, allthough i wanted to get this character in charge

Logs do not lie. VP is way harder than brackenhide or freehold.

???
What i was talking about has nothing to do with my class or the tank.
LOL

Oh wait let me double check:

Oh my.
Apparently i specifically quoted you regarding the packs part. As if i was talking exactly about that.

Or you pull 3 packs with lust and kill them fast. It doesn’t matter how bolstered/fortified the mobs in those 3 packs are, they don’t do any damage when they’re dead.

I would recommand that too this week, but it is not needed at all  At least not in comparison with the keylevel we are on VP (we actually haven’t even timed a VP yet).

They feel pretty similar overall to me. I have FH +18 in time, VP +17 in time and +19 within 5 minutes of time.

So what is the trick on the packs in VP between boss 2 and 3?

Coordinating interrupts. Not bolstering the ones that do the big AOE damage.

We are already coordinating interrupts. But our tank can’t live the melees.

Is this the DH? They need to kite.

No, brewmaster.
Kiting is a perfect answer to me though. That is the only option we see atm.

Brew can also kite. They have the mobility.

If you fail on VP / BH on 14
It’s mostly a fail in mechanic knowledge and bad CD rotation.

Can agree those are harder than FH / UND if you don’t know any dungeon.

Requires dps / heal / tank resilience a lot of low level pugs do not have, so please don’t give them any ideas… It’s not like there weren’t enough scenarios already, where big pulls fail due to tanks overestimating their / the group’s abilities…

You’re suggesting that telling them ‘this is what we did in BfA’ is a bad idea? We did it in BfA because it works, and it isn’t exactly difficult to kill stuff faster with lust.
