You mean⊠Blizz should listen to some kids who plays their game?
Kids are always unhappy. A big company like Acti-Blizz shouldnt care about the whine from some kids ingame.
They just make their game and if the kids dont like it, they shouldnt ask their moms for money to buy it.
I think if SL was definitely going to be ready on time we would have had the pre-patch announcement by now. My guess is that on Monday there will be a meeting at Blizz to work out how ready SL is looking and weâll either get pre-patch date of the 6th October or an announcement of a delay.
It is the extent that is the problem. It is a different thing to have something like the 15th anniversary event and a different thing to designa good part of the main content to be a FOMO timesink to keep people playing in the content drought âor elseâ (and it was not that bad in BFA as the previous 3 expacs unless you wanted all the rank 4 essences).
This game was not that way, which brings us to the next point.
That does not excuse mediocrity.
WoW right now makes me think of the Bilbo butter Scene.
If they really want to make it so different they might as well get serious and create WoW2 instead of trying to bait the continued engagement of a previous gamer generation
Step 1- They know better than community. Theyâll do as they please.
Step 2- The system is flawed, exactly as community predicted.
Step 3- They spend the entirety of an expansion trying to fix the flaws they created. while they could have still listened to community suggestions instead of sticking to their own system for easier fix.
Step 4- End of an expansion, so they just promise a better future, better next expansion without repeating the same mistakes and promise of more communication and listening.
Step 5- They announce the new features. And they turn out to be the same issues and sometimes even bigger ones in comparison to the recently finished faulty expansion.
Step 6- Community Complains about all the very predictable issues and constantly ask blizzard to listen to them
I donât know why they are so obsessed with being hard headed and stubborn against the wishes of the community. Not just wow either. All their games.
Take a look at dota 2 for example and how developers do stuff with that game.
1- They change a lot of stuff every patch.
2- Community comes out and accepts a lot of those changes. But finds some stupid changes and calls them out as STUPID.
3- the dev team checks those complaints. Goes through them and realize yea. It was stupid. Communityâs right. Weâll give them what they want.
4- The stupid decisions are reverted. Everyoneâs happy, until they get bored with the repetitive meta.
5- They go back to step one and change things once more.
Blizzard sees the success of dota 2, and instead of understanding the reason behind its success, they see the ESPORTS success of the game part and ask themselves âHow can we earn the same amount of money instead, from our own ESPORTSâ
And then they push ESPORTS instead of listening to the community part.
Itâs just amazing. It feels like people who are in charge have no connection whatsoever to the community, the game or the current state of it.
Yes, unfortunately. According to Bellular; Activision is putting itâs heavy paw on release date( funds cuts and all),forcing whatâs left of temps in Blizz to work on something that is not exactly finished: link at the end of my comment; if you guys are interested. So basically for them to listen to playersâŠwe need to unsubscribe before new expansion. After all pre-patch is made to fill that dullest month of waiting, when normally people will cancel subs. https://youtu.be/zYJnL0UWcio
Activision Blizzard has set the release date and Shadowlands isnât and wont be ready on time. Itâs not up for debate, game will go live in whichever state it is.
Pre-patch is being postponed as close as possible to the actual release date in order to allow more time to work and polish the final build.
Employees at Blizzard Entertainment are doing their very best to push and balance the expansion content, but you can clearly tell that production is completely overclocked at this point.
Time allocation was mismanaged internally as the first iterations of the many systems in Shadowlands needed far more development. You really should take more responsibility for those systems, especially since you had the feedback from us. That saidâŠ
To any employee that reads this, please take care of yourself first and know that a large portion of the community has matured enough to understand game production up to a unrealistic release date.
Still, Itâs a darn shame it had to come to this, especially after BFAâŠ
Blame streamers like asmongold who always gets the beta invite because he is a "streamerâ But spend most of his time farming mounts or doing things like flexing with his mounts in retail Instead of reporting bugs
Well if you say it MUST be trueâŠnoone else said that, not Asmongold, Quartering and neither Bellular, but you đ€·. We all are floating in a doubt and thereâs a lot of speculations, based on what ex-workers spilled. Since we donât have official newsâŠwe take what we have from people, who also says : letâs see what happens. And Bellular was right many times. Since you donât know that, only guess: you donât watch that much of his channel.
But if you think thereâs other problem than: money, making only stockholders happy, mass employees movement from Blizz to Morheims company, Activision clamping on any and all investments, hemorrhaging money on plans they abandoned (Titan); go ahead link your thoughts, donât be shy.
