Are you going to fix mob spawns?

It’s more than a year has passed and mobs spawn issues have not yet been fixed nor acknowledged, like why? Do you not have moderators anymore?

Anyways, my issue is that mobs respawn timer is inconsistent in general and totally off when compared to the vanilla. This is Flamelash EU - an abandoned realm with a handful of players so zones are 95% times empty with only you being there alone.

For example,

a) Wetlands and its gnoll camps - there are ussually around 12-14 gnolls around the camp. 7-9 close by the fire and remaining 3-5 patrolling slightly far away around the perimeter of the camp. Such camps are both lucrative for chest boxes and quest objectives. The problem is that with a valid character (that still needs this or gets any exp from killing them) cannot literally solo this, or in rare cases, group clear such camps. Was it a bug or deliberately tuned so that at any given point in time such camp has to have at least 3 alive gnolls. You cannot kill all gnolls because they respawn soon after the last three die. I tried this on my 42 mage grouping all of them (15) and killing instantly and the same instance 3 of them respawn, soon followed by the 4th one in a 2sec delay. Repeated this 10 times and always the same. You can literally blizzard aoe the entire camp and gnolls keep spawning and dying and spawning and dying in batches. Sometimes gnolls spawn on top of you.

b) Plaguelands - crypt near the Uther’s Tomb. The crypt consists of several floors with several areas aka rooms on each floor. Issue is that mobs respawn with a different frequency in each room on the same floor! There is one room one the most bottom floor, where mobs again respawn right after the last one dies. It makes it so much harder to deal with especially if one tries to kill a rare mob that spawns there.

c) Some other places as well - go figure.

Anyways, it breaks my immersion and satisfaction of playing the game knowing such lousy bugs exist. Poor Omar must have wanted to fix them, but was not given permission and therefore left
During typing this I came to a realization how much I don’t see a point in supporting Blizz anymore and decided to cancel my sub and delete the account entirely. D4, nah it will be a miracle if it will justify having an account for it alone. Nah f___ this :poop: I’m outta here.

Yes I experienced this in Wetlands It is SO NOT as it was in Vanilla! THank you for writing here.

It’s true, maybe it’s designed that way?

Yes indeed it is.
Because of the server size I read that they did a number of things to ensure questing in the open world was viable, including dynamic respawns.
The basic rules (from memory) were that the more a mob type (i.e gnoll) was killed in the zone the quicker it would respawn, the quicker it was killed following respawn, the quicker it would respawn and finally that there must always be X number of mobs of each type in the zone. So if there has to be 10 gnoll’s at all time in Wetlands for example, then if you killed one leaving it at 9 one would insta spawn at one of the locations that they can be found.

Not quite sure if u are right, but i did all quests there that had anything to do with gnols ( that iron or stone Q u loot from them?) and i can asure you i cleared those camps, many of them.

Wasnt exactly easy, i had to run a lot to get lose agro after i killed some, but even if it took time i managed to clear them completly and loot said chests.

So its either your server issue, or maybe some rare ocasional bug or something.

Also, " it wasnt like that in vanila" is kinda weird argument. U remember to exact detail how it was 15 years ago on this particular patch we playing right now? Or u just have some memory from it, maybe some early or very late stage?

You were lucky. If you’re all alone in the zone - maybe sub-zone - you can do it. But people just passing by, activates those crazy spawn-rates which was implemented to help the too many players-situation.
And even though I’m not the thread-starter … yes, I remember in Vanilla. I levelled a lot of characters in this patch, loosing interest in levelling when reacing leve 35ish. I knew - and still actually remembered now in Classic - the locations of chests, gnoll camps etc. in Wetlands … and the cooking fires even to my own surprise. Ergo I dare say: It was NOT like this in late Vanlilla!

Definitely wasnt alone, there were like 2 groups goin for elite Qs at the time, not counting those that just passed by or leveled there.

OK, some luck you must have. Now I have levelled … doing it again  … 10 or 11 toons to level 40ish.
And ALL (apart from the first who was a part of the cracyness that was in the beginning) have had those wery same problems in Wetlands … same in the raptor-infested excavation btw (and in some other zones and sub-zones). I can only repeat you must have had RNG on your side.

This is one of many issues the reality of “somechanges” have caused us in classic. The dynamic respawns are completely broken in some places.
