Hi everyone,
I know I am going to get savagely hated by Vanilla purists but as an absolute PVP fan and loving competition, I’d like to open a debate about potential 60 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 arenas implementation inside Classic.
It’s understood that it is not even planned inside the different phases and arenas never existed at this lvl, but sh** IT IS FUN!
I don’t want to rush things but I would like to ask the devs, could we consider in a rather sooner than later future, a potential add to Vanilla with that competitive touch?

Not if it awards gear as good or better than BGs. Other than that, I don’t care. I’m not a purist, I play for fun. Arenas aren’t my idea of fun, but if they’re yours, then go for it, as long as what you’re doing doesn’t impact what I’m doing, I.E. by awarding better gear.
That said, most people are purists, and blizz has repeatedly stated they’re trying to replicate 1.12, so I doubt it’ll actually happen.

vanilla wow is for bad people that want to get their “hard” earned purples rather than have a balanced game. if u want competitive pvp and arenas u should play retail. a perfect example of vanilla wow is the druid. balanced enough to make up 1/40th of a raid or have the role of running away from combat in bgs.
Arenas are a bad idea in classic. Classes aren’t balanced at all nevermind finely balanced. Also, the way PVP works in Classic/Vanilla doesn’t really make for great arena gameplay. 3 rogues could probably smash any team with CC / Stunlocks.
No, we got vanilla wow. There are no arenas. Hopefully we get TBC in a year or two and you will have your arenas.
Edit: I would also like to add that I don’t hate you in any way for liking arena :).

why do u want tbc? tbc is the expansion that ruined your precious vanilla wow. it is by far the worst expansion when it comes to any aspect of the game.
I like both. Alot! Vanilla is a gem in the rough. TBC is the high point for me. Wrath is where things started to go downhill, but I’ll still play it because it’s still good.
If people want Cataclysm I won’t be the one standing in the way. It’s not for me, but if other people want to play it that’s fine.
Care to elaborate on why you think TBC ruined anything?

Changes will come, whether you like it or not Since Blizzard smells money in TBC.
After Naxx it might be added for fun purposes with no rewards, maybe.
Well that’s not necessarily true, now is it? They can still add TBC servers and allow you to transfer your characters without changing anything in classic.
The two are not mutually exclusive.

The probably will add TBC when the end contend is reached and subscriptions will fall. The can get a similar hype for it again.
Also TBC like Vanilla was awesome.

TBC was the high point in WoW for PvE, it went downhill from there.
PvP is a mixed bag, arguably WotLK PvP was better than TBC, at least it was equal. But from that point on also PvP went downhill.
If I had to pick the best point in WoW, it would be TBC.
Id love it aswell. Dont care if it has rewards ornot. Id do it just because its fun. But most likely we wont get arenas until TBC servers come along.
balance sucks in classic/vanilla so no way, it would be AWFUL.

I wouldn’t mind MoP servers tho, they had excellent arenas.
without the some real pvp dr´s u cant play classic arena
wotlk,tbc was balanced awful to and sitll the most fun. if u try to balance somthingi ts endingg like retail all specc classes same and boring
