Actually, yes, you can. You just can’t have both in a heavy burst gameplay design, because if healing needs to be able to counter all the spikes in damage then it needs to be able to push out insane amounts of healing.
But in a heavy sustained gameplay design, both sides of the coin (dps and healing) can be much more balanced, while interrupts develops a naturally bigger role like that. So healing becomes more enjoyable without causing game lengths to go into deep dampening every time.
But heavy spikes in damage is what the PvEers enjoy, so PvPers must suffer.
While I would love to indulge in the trash-talking about queue times - the thread was made to discuss the fact one couldn’t queue at all and this deserter-buff from some missed invisible arena invite lol
They are not working since last week… Unless you count 60 minute queue times as “working”?
Today its just like you can not even queue, nothing happens somehow. Everything is bugged, UI still bugged etc. Better off wait another 1-2 months until everything is working again. That is what I am doing, sub ends in 3 days.
I’ve seen the issue of extreme queue times and it’s crazy however I’ve never experienced it myself and I do consider a long queue time as “working” at least when discussing this visual bug (or whatever) which makes queueing not possible AT ALL. And also results in deserter-buffs etc. I’d rather not get into Solo Shuffle (which this thread isn’t even about, it’s about 2V2 lmao) than end up with deserter-buffs etc.
Still super bugged queues, my experiences summarized:
PvP
Queue symbol does not appear after role selection or with HUGE delay (5min+). So you are not really queued until you are very randomly queued
People get random deserter debuff without a queue popping or even queue symbol
If queues work, it takes very long for the loading screen to appear (joining and leaving arena → very delayed after clicking button)
Queue pauses and re-activates randomly even if all players dont do anything. Also the estimated time sometimes disappears and its just a timer how long you already waited

same issue as 1. pvp
our lfr raid has been randomly disbanded. all players got kicked before the second boss (after we finished the last trash summoned by council).
I guess this means they’re working on it? I wish they would’ve specified and informed us regarding this bug rather than queue-times but at least it’s something
