Im only 26 on my druid, but i love playing it and habe played as tank healer and dps so far.
Only think that ticks me is that i cant need on the clothie caster gear when im healing.
In other words i cant need anything. Im a healer… So dps needs dps gear. So what do i get to use?
I know it changes at higher lvls but for now its more enjoyable to tank or dps, if only every other melee only didnt also need on my leathers lol.
Do you guys need cloth as shammy or pally or druid?
Yes. I need on healer and dps gear on dungeons. Gear choises are very bad on classic/vanilla, trying to have only mail as shaman? HAH
If they whine, they can find another healer.
Every dps should try being healer and tank on pug at prime time, then try to justify their priority for gear.
if you are running a dungeon as a healer or tank, and an item drops that can improve your ability as said role, then of course you can need on it regardless of armor type imo.

You can always need any upgrades no matter the armor. That stat is only important for tanks and in pvp. You should ofc be respectful and not take caster bis and such even if its an upgrade for you unless its your bis also.
Imagine thinking people can’t need on the ‘wrong’ armour type with itemisation as bad as Classic.
That attitude was such in vanilla by the way. And for that I am thankful that classic has changed from. Nowadays people understand what is in a stat and that to perform better one needs also some gear.
In classic you don’t get beneficial stats outside more armor rating from different armor type gear, unlike on retail where you get stat boosts from wearing most suitable armor type for your class. So healer paladins were healing in cloth gear, for instance.
If you are healing instances and healer gear drops, need away.
