Arms/ret pepega cleave owning AWC

It doesn’t matter anyway they did 0 balancing before AWC and only basically made sure to slap rogue to the side walk despite theres a billion other culprits doing equally wacky things.

3 stun opptions . maim and bash where is the 3rd one??

they are tho , they are the worst druid spec to pvp atm cause convoke boomkins

costs GCD

would trade it for bleed buff anyday and nerf bite

Omg, you don’t even know about Rake stun, why am I even bothering talking you.

im asking myself the same thing trying to defend stupid ret paladin , what a joke

Yeah it goes through the bank with Arms, Affliction lock and Shadowpriest seeming to have good spread damage.

But in reality even these have sustain issues without CDs.

We have that problems since WoD. There it really started.

I played with a balance yesterday that was always way under me in damage, like 1/3 to 1/2 of my damage, even in a Match that lasted over 2 min, then 1 Convoke and he jumped over me.

Feral feels weird - damage on plate like warrior is just terrible - but everything seems undertuned compared to our arms warrior overlords - like the casters said every setup comp gets shut down by arms warrior alone.

shurgs hope we see a change in class design philosophy on that front but not holding my breath.

just wish we could go back to old MoP days with pvp power and resil and class design

The direction is the right one, on a bigger time frame perspective, but the target is still far far away.

Still for me SL is a big step in the right direction.

You think we’re moving away from big bursts with SL? Feels the opposite with abilites like “the hunt”, “convoke” or “Divine toll”

My thought process is that we got:

  • utility back.

  • got away from RNG proccs that defined our damage to active abilities.

Devine Toll, The Hunt and Convoke are the exact Covenants that still need a hefty nerf.

In my opinion the next steps are:

  • again more utility back.

  • Removal of toxic things like Shadow Duel, Affliction Slow Legendary (remember Exotic munition and SV Hunter and the reason it got removed? well apparently Blizzard dont), Shimmer.

  • Redesign of bad game play like DStance, FoF Heavy Handed Strikes.

  • Reduce of CD stacking. Just prune the amount of CDs and Multiplier you can Stack. Total CD and the amount each CD gives.

  • Lastly Buff sustain damage accordingly.

For WW i would for example say give FoF stun back. Reduce the FoF damage by about 60%. An AoE ability should never ever be your best ST spell ever.

Remove FoF BoK reduction, SEF like back in MoP and not a damage CD.
Serenity or WW Kyrian currently are good designed damage CDs in my opinion.

Tune damage accordingly to primary RSK and BoK for example.

Remove Xuen. TEB was such a good mechanic in my opinion…

A bit too many abbreviations for me to keep up but I do agree with your overall sentiment. Except Xuen, I think it’s real cool to summon a lightning tiger. :stuck_out_tongue:

Lore wise cool ability yes and i like it and call it Felix.

PvP design wise, no. Just another fire and forgot button that does more damage.

Lore wise and fantasy wise I think its cool enough to stick around.

FoF = Fist of Fury
Heavy Handes Strike = The Parry and Slow on FoF. I think its now called turbofists.
AoE = Area of effect (this was something you knew)
ST = Single Targe (maybe because of context not as clear)
RSK = Rising Sun Kick
BoK = Black out Kick. It reduces RSK and FoF CD by 1 Second.
SEF = Storm Earth and Fire. The spirits that copy.
TEB = Tiger Eye Brew.

TEB was the WW monks primary “CD” just that it had no CD but was stronger the more stacks you had. You got the stacks by using your Chi.

Tigereye Brew
5 sec cooldown
Instant cast
Consumes up to 10 stacks of Tigereye Brew to increase damage and healing done by 6% per stack for 15 sec.

For each 4 Chi you consume, you gain a stack of Tigereye Brew. You can have a maximum of 20 stacks.

So if you kited a WW it did horrible damage because it had no TEB Stacks. If the WW had a high uptime it had like a 60% uptime on a 60% damage buffs and the damage came from single target spells.

In effect high sustain damage that came from… well… sustain damage.

Appreciate the explanations.
Yeah, I’m lvling a ww right now (among other classes) just to get a feel on how it is to play it. I noticed the Tiger brew pvp talent still exists but it only gives you armor pen now. Do monks still use that in pvp? Some of the monks pvp talents are sick.

We used it in WoD against Locks.

Currently i dont think it has much worth.

The best Talents are Alpha Tiger, FoF Parry and Disarm for PvP.

WDP is the best Talent designed for WW in my opinion in a long time and WW collectively like the spell, excpet the “root”, and suggest since 2 expansion it to be baseline to free the last Talent row.

Still i cant get over the love for TEB and Chi Explosion.

Ah yeah, I only used my monk for some mount farming in BFA but I always went WDP too, really rounded out the rotation.
As a ret pala I hate ur disarm tho, like why does it have 30y range. I get disarmed even when you are focusing my healer. :stuck_out_tongue:

Because Blizzard went away from healthy game design. There was a reason HoJ was magic, today not so much.

Worst thing is WW disarm goes through Evasion and Parry also…While you can dodge/parry Warri Disarm. At the same time you can Evasion Aim Shots but Stormbolt, also range attack, you can not.

404 Logic not found…

Game Design is bad nowadays and has no consistency anymore.

Yeah it’s not in the best spot.
