Oh you’re just a doom-poster, then. Bye
That’s why google exists, so you can search for it. But I do think that guessing at the website address could get you there too. As a clue, the website for Warcraft is www.worldofwarcraft.com
Hehe I know how to use Google, I am just making little bit fun at OP Not a bit interested in play anything but WoW, never was too.
The game looks good to a audience yes. However last i checked ashes of creation is pvp driven
And theres announcements basically stating players will be encountering both pve and pvp regardless of choice.
Also pvp players can destroy structures and more.
So yes. While it looks well built and going to succeed beleiving its going to pull a pve majority who dont wanna remotely see pvp. Is wild.
It looks good, but i dont think its going to be retail WoW playeds who will go for this. Also.
I think riots mmorpg is just more likely to pull a majority here, i honestly do that aint me bad moutbing AoC either. I just get the feeling the likelyhood is it will win out.
But yes AoC is a dynamic enviroment, where player input directly affects the world. And others can undo players work via pvp system.
The likelyhood players will enjoy what WoW is today and this game is unlikely because of how different this gsme is.
However the game having a bard class is enough for me to give it a shot. I find it unlikely imma choose it over WoW, but hey could suprise us.
The combat would be something id have seen in Everquest. The available raid was dull as ive seen. It needs alot of work.
Ashes peaks the interest, but mmo games with PvP at the core just dont work in this age.
Dunno if the games entjrely built on open world gameplay it can be pretty successful.
The issue is alot of core pvp mmorpgs fall into the trap where they think the mmorpg doesnt need alot of content because “pvp is pvp”.
Also, if its not looked after it can quickly turn into a game where people just merc new players repeatedly which generates complaints.
Verticle progression, levelling, and pvp dont mix well unless strictly set out
I always say the best example of a fleshed out PvP game was Dark Age of Camelot.
3 factions and the realm rank system created the necessary sandbox to facilitate a pvp focused game to provide enough for players to do.
AoC won’t be released anytime soon. Probably takes some more years for development. And i fear they want too much at once and will end up like Star Citizen. But the footage shown so far looks pretty good.
Blizzard really needs some competition. All these bad (partly mobile) asia MMOs won’t be a threat to them.
This game is a money grab fiasco… mark my word… it will never get officially released, and when it will it gonna be a junk… they just milk ppl with empty words… my best bet is gonna be another “golum” game…
I actually think the MMO market is saturated. We are kinda covered in all bases.
Story? FF14
Horizontal/open-world? GW2
PvP? TESO
All around? WoW
Etc etc.
Ashes does look like it’s shaping up very nicely.
Also, check out Pax Dei. It’s a new MMO being developed by some of the old EveOnline developers. It looks stunning so far.
They had some alpha/betas, gathered much feedback, showcased some assets, and recently started showing actual gameplay. At a minimum, it will be New World but slightly better codded and with bit more “content”. People will play it for a set amount of time and have time. Typical MMO longevity depends and as it’s not based on anything pre-established it’s more likely to die like New World than to grow.
The game promises a lot of complex systems and whatnot which can be a problem. Just like in New World, some players will control the server, and nodes and then rule/tax them. It’s all good in theory but it will be hard if not impossible to get any sort of balance in the world.
And it’s not intended as a “WoW killer”. Only WoW can kill itself, and even managed once not so long ago
Finally some quality bait
Star Citizen too at this point.
