Thats the thing
No one really no ever said Asmongold is right
that dude is a meme
If he was the dev of wow he would remove everything that’s easy and fun
how about tune down your game for the majority of your playerbase instead of reinventing the wheel every single patch/expansion. This game would have much more players if 80-90% of the players could play the content. And generate more money for the indie devs. But i am not an expert (numbers prove my point that its not going well)
The devs cater towards the 1% because they are streamers and visible online so they think if they happy , others will be and buy the game
But theres a saying, fool me once…
I leave this here for you…
"Well you are wrong as it took months for guilds vash and KT in TBC which you claim are super easy raids.
It took for example 133 days for KT to die in TK in TBC how is that super easy and a lot longer than 4 weeks.
(its 19 weeks btw)"
dev make game for echo guild the rest can qq on forum np )))
Edit: 1st of all I want to say I highly agree with the statement that raids have increased in difficulty so much that participation has significantly dropped. As a female gamer I can now say with embarrassment and at the same time empathy, that after playing for 17 years and consistently managing boss tactics relatively well, nowadays me and other girls in our raid consistently end up dying from something, and it’s often times something different. It just requires too much focus and concentration which unless you load yourself up with caffeine and adrenaline /testosterone and combine it with proper sleep you cannot easily deal with. I don’t know man, I have seriously considered quitting again because I don’t wanna let people down esp on HC Rasz… thankfully we managed to get curve but getting her on farm is a whole other story.
I want to emphasize that I highly disagree with this conclusion. Gear is still uncomfortably significant for players’ DPS, and without it, two players playing the same spec and class will have significant difference in DPS even if there’s only a 10 ilevel difference between them, and especially if one is wearing BiS gear and the other is not.
I do wholly agree with the specs issue and talent trees issues though, and I want to add that the game is still very badly imbalanced where only a few select specs can dish out easy quick bursts and maintain them while the rest gotta sit back and watch them from the bottom of the meters unless they are full BiS geared and even then it’s debatable.
My Frost DK couldn’t do over 30k with 390 ilevel even though I’ve mastered her as I used to play Frost DK for many years in the past, but Unholy DK with lower ilevel than me can burst 100k ST on Raszageth??
And finally I want to address once again the topic of BiS trinkets, which seem rarer than mounts right now and people just can’t get them easily at all even if they farm them. I would rather if we could buy them from a vendor even if they cost 3000 Valor to buy. At least I’d know that I can farm my way to it and will get it for sure then.
Its a social experiment blizz is doing on its players
OR… the increase in difficulty is boosting WoW token sales maybe?! And people such as myself, are buying their first end game kill because theres no way to do it otherwise as a casual player?
- Create desire
- Create problems
- Sell the solution
TLDR but if the essence of the original post is that raiding is too timewasting and antiquated mode that losses out to other endgame modes in WoW and to raiding in other MMOs, then yes, it very much is.
Did we not have this discussion in the old thread?
Like, I don´t get it, we just went through TBC Classic. This should not even be a discussion. Claiming that TBC and Vanilla were hard is like being a flat-earther at this point.
Not with me you did not no sorry.
I am talking about TBC back in 2006 not the TBC of classic.
It stilll took them 133 days in TBC to kill a end boss its now taking 17 days which is easier ?
That comparison doesnt work. The amount of prep we pour into the raids now is different. Also people got generally better at the game over the course of the games lifespan.
trying to make WoW into a e-sports was the biggest mistake ActiBlizz could have done but gotta hunt that sweet sweet dollar
I understand that but he is the one saying TBC is easier and the game should be like that now.
Both have set groups
Both needing gearing
Both had add-ons
I just think him claiming TBC was easier is a lie but you do you
It is easier in comparison to now in regards of number checks, mechanics, tactics etc. The level of “perceived” difficulty could be described as around the same due to several factors however.
This is what i am trying to say
For example for KT in TK
You needed a geared fire mage or lock to tank add at back .
Group buffs and have the correct set up
I could go on and on talking about TBC but you were there.
I just repeat to say TBC was easier is not true but i really do not wish to get into a heated debate about this on a Sunday with a stubborn person like the OP, i am allowed a view and i think he is wrong that simple really.
I am paraphrasing:
Bellular: Really our data show that ultimately the peaks and valleys for raid participation from kills is on a contuining downward trend since Antorus.
Asmongold: That´s because Antorus was easy
Like, it is so painfully obvious why raiding is in trouble at the moment. People will gaslight about people not having time (ignoring massive Classic raid success). Truth is, it is the difficulty.
Just look at the numbers again… Hmm why was Antorus a succes… no idea… hmmm
RAID | % guilds got AOTC 4 weeks in | |
---|---|---|
The Nighthold | 27.91 % | |
Tomb of Sarg | 21.81 % | |
Antorus THE SUCCESFUL RAID | 36.73 %!!! | |
Uldir | 18.34 % | |
BDA | 20.88 % | |
Eternal Palace | 28.38 % | |
Nyalotha | 31.83 % | |
Castle Nathria | 11.06 % | |
Sylv Raid | 13.69 % | |
Shadowlands final fail raid | 4 !!!% | |
vault of incarn | 12.1 % |
Should also be noted that Bellular is really really positive about DF and has been hyping the game up, he has no interest in poor DF numbers.
Secondly, Antorus had these things for raiders:
- Titanforging
- Bonus rolls
- Raid loot through the Class Order Hall which gave you raid loot depending on the difficulty you were doing
Now we have the broccoli raiding which is rough to chew through, no wonder no one plays.
this acutaly shows, that borrowed power do work, exept it has been implented in a way that makes it to grindy and that for horrible to do.
Bonus rolls should come back no question about that.
Nah, that idea is stupid. It’s way easier to just have more gear drop from bosses and raids being way easier. End of story
Everytime you mention Bellular i am 1 step further away from taking anything you say seriously. Like this post is nothing more but glorifying clickbaiting youtubers and the nonsense they speak. These people should be ignored and not given more attention they do not deserve but desperately crave for.
In short; Content creators bad
I’ve already seen a few threads where you just spew nonsense and argue with people for pointless things. The only thing we can take out from that is that you’re bored out of your mind with the life you live and find some weird satisfaction in being a forum troll
