This guy Asmongold acts like he is the “literal god” of the game but all he brings is toxicity and hate to the game. He tries to act like a intellectual but his arguments regarding almost everything he talks about (boosting, ingame shop, state of the game or political issues) make no sense, he also changes his arguments based on the feedback he gets or if it gets him in any trouble he will just adjust his argument so it’s convenient for him. He is a guy that makes entertainment and sometimes he is good at it, I agree, but it has nothing to do with World of Warcraft. I liked him at first, and it doesn’t really matter but I wish people could see that he is indeed a blizzard shill and is only in the streamer world for money, yes I said it… asmongold doesn’t care about his viewers, the things he says are so extremely arrogant and so disconnected to “normal” people or at least a balanced way of thinking. It’s very cringe to listen to someone that thinks he is the all knowing god, but yes he is funny sometimes… I guess that’s enough to support everything he does, at least most of his fans do.
It looks like he was successful if he got you to write this post about him.
If you don’t like an entertainer, don’t watch him. That’s all there is about it.
I don’t see how this comment makes any sense? I wish him all the best, but his arrogance and delussional arguments make me disagree with him and yes that’s why I don’t watch anymore, it has nothing to do with him being succesful or not that’s just your personal perception.

He’s the most toxic “content creator” out there anyway. He brings nothing but bad community.
He got carried through classic, and stopped playing due to boredom (Which he claims he was “sick of pvp servers” )
He gets carried through retail as well.
He barely plays the game, just goes back to old content and insults his “fanbase” who suck up to him non-stop.

Streamers are completely optional to follow or ignore, no matter who they are. Asmongold is very successful as a streamer and has a big following.
Personally I’m not a big fan of his ‘Asmongold’ persona, I can see that people love it and find him entertaining. So now and then he will do a tweetlonger from a place of calm and reason and I do find myself agreeing with him sometimes.
Unless you are stuck playing on a realm with Asmongold, I doubt he’ll have any impact on your enjoyment of WoW.

I don’t like the guy either, which is strange because I didn’t mind him so much before classic came out, I even used to watch his youtube videos back in the day before he streamed. These days I’ll watch him until he says something stupidly disappointing and then I’ll watch someone else instead. I think he’s a perfect example of how streamers abuse the influence they can have on viewers.
If you ever go into his stream, even his 2nd stream account Zack on twitch, he trash talks classic constantly, that’s literally all he does and his viewers are the same also “LUL CLASSIC ANDYS LUL HURRR HURR HURR” It’s so ridiculous.
He makes out that the Classic community is the most toxic thing ever, it’s not the classic community that’s toxic though, it’s gamers, the internet in general is full of toxic people and a lack of changes/supervision from Blizzard obviously don’t do a 15 year old game with actual social systems any justice, but at least Classic has social systems where as Retail no longer even has that.
