Hello everyone, I have such a question, because we all know perfectly well the animation of flying ravens around the legendary staff of Atiesh, but judging by the recordings from YouTube on private vanilla servers, the staff does not have this animation, therefore the question is in which patch was added? I tried to find it myself on wowwiki but didn’t find this change, maybe someone remembers?
I never noticed any ravens around Atiesh.
They were probably added in WoD when Khadgar reappeared using Atiesh.
I’m not sure about classic, but I finished my Atiesh shortly after TBC launched, and it did have the ravens animation. The animation is not consistent though, it’s just something that happens randomly every now and then.

I found a video on YouTube dated 11/17/2006, there is already an animation of birds around the staff. But it seems this is already a prepatch for TBC,
because the mage talents talk about it
