Can we seriously have a ban on auto invite addons? This is ridiculous. Every time i type a keyword about portals or enchants to my mates i get 100 people whispering me and 3 invites. Please stop this, it is unfair to people who dont own this addon and worked their asses off day and night just to be overrun by other people who sit there like vultures waiting for someone to type. This isnt a real feel of community.

To me that just seems like personal vendetta, however, if you think about it brings lots of benefits to the game, main benefit being that it reduces the spam. Maybe you can provide some context and examples.

No. Any in-game addon is allowed because they all use only API allowed by blizzard. If blizzard decide to ban some action for addons, they remove it from API. So all addons that are in-game addons and not 3rd party programs are allowed, because they perform only actions allowed by blizzard API

I said technicaly banned not actually banned and the blizzard EULA is higher up in the chain than the wow one so yes they could if they wanted to ban people for that I know that people can get silenced for automated whispers at least.
The part that is important to this question is that automated chatting is a form of automated control of a feature of the platform e.g. the chat
Not gonna lie, this is extremely annoying as an Enchanter with 150+ ping due to mobile connection.
I have the addon setup and all, but because my invite goes out 120ms after the one from some guy sitting on an ethernet cable in Western Europe, it always comes back with “already in a party” mesage.
I basically only do enchants for myself, guildies and random party memers I meet in the world these days, selling them is impossible.
Oh, and Elune forbid if you type an ad in /2 you just get mass reported immediately. I already spent a week silenced. It’s basically a ban since you can’t form group or reply to whispers, the game is all but unplayable at 60. I wonder how the people who spam Ench ads in /2 do it
