Is av alliance a definition of stupidity ?
Itâs the definition of a Horde map advantage. But you could argue that the Allies have given up before the game has begun. But it is due to the map.
Fixed in TBC, I believe.
Yes , they have starting adventage but what all does is just turtle afk , farm hk , and do not wanna go around , grab lts and get some honor , i mean the playerbase is really that stupid i guess , when you donât wanna make the most of it out of a bad situation .
Problem is that by sitting AFK and losing on purpose, you get to farm the BG faster and get it over with.
You say that but we had av premades and won 95% of games for a month and blizzard removed our ability to do it and after an entire year of 99% horde win (ignoring russians ofc) they didnât change a thing.
Changes when it suits one and no changes when its suits the other.
Is/was premading allowed in AV?
Why Russian Alliance pugs lose much less?
The majority of players, are not PvPers. So when they meet tough (or even unfair) situations, they give up. Zero pride/ego.
For the same reason, there is no wPvP in PvP servers.
O yeah having someone to lead is really broken , that is why ab and wsg are allowed to premade , and yea it is really fun for all that you start to defend your gy when you see horde for the first time , unless you bypass eachother and while you are on your way to icg and fighitng the guys that are defending there they are allready caping your gy and the people that die in the north are allready on icb to help then defend or retake as you get to ress all the way in the north , yea really really smart design , doing av without proper lead as all is like early island expeditions , best way to rank up and get power and the best way to start to hate the bg system in classic and the game , god bless tbc and the person who moved horde spawn place
If I was playing Alliance, and had enough power/help, I would never let the SH GY be lost. Even if I had to stay there until I log out. If you canât win, try not to lose.
Believe me, the same type of losers that now AFK on Alliance side, will start to give up on Horde side.
Ty for making my point , yes stay for 7 day untill bg resets defending , great bg design , at least we have tbc on the way to fix this piece of feces bg and pvp system .
Bad design. And you have to choose. Alliance choose to get over it. They try to be efficient. Donât be efficient. Fight to win. Itâs a faction War game, and you picked a side.
Quitters shouldnât complain. Even if the opponent, had an unfair advantage. We are not in a court.
No , when one faction has clear adventage over the other that is imbalance , and you should not have faction power imbalance bcs of RP reasons(and the peole that wanna have rp there are rp servers) and even that doesnât really work and changes to TBC prove that blizzard has learned that and is still learning , the meta game of progg raids is a bit diff story as racials ofn horde in legion and bfa were better for world first raiders and then most people copy them what they do as they want their characters to be better and that is not rp reason as you wanna play as bunch of walking bones , you wanna have power and not nerf your self on start , and when you talk about faction war look at the faction wars in p2 and what it has done to those servers as they are eff dead now , you are destroying rp by making these faction imbalance , as you will have people that start the game look at stats and see all sucks at bg pugs i am gonna play horde even if i donât like how they look or lore but i am winning and i have time in the game .
I donât understand you.
You have two options. Give up and whine or fight back. I canât see a third option.
Back in vanilla avâs used to last all weekend and for most of the week, trouble is everyone wants the fast win, if it isnât over in 15 minutes the players start to whine and give up.
That goes for both sidesâŠ
It is partly thanks to the huge imbalance the map provides towards the Horde side.
But also, I have a level 60 and classic and some Alliance really do not bother.
Itâs hilarious when you are running with 8 alliance, and they decide to all go around a group of 2 hordes.
Yes, with minefields and with more hp to mobs , more npcs and mobs , and overall it was more of wpvp zone , and people also played diff back then as it was a new game and a first multiplayer game for many people .
Russians do exactly what the first av premades were banned for.
Itâs more a consequence of people playing for the payoff, rather than playing for the joy of playings sake.
Alliance simply has much shorter queues than horde.
Because of that, losing the BG quickly, is more efficient for whatever purposes of Farm you are looking at, than actually playing the game. If I wait only a Minute for my BG, lose in 10 Minutes, and get 1 badge, I am more efficient than the guy who wins and gets 3 badges, but had to wait an hour for the BG to open. I make 5-6 badges in the time he makes 3.
Well, when BG popped horde was farming alliance, because zugzug stronger together. Then TOP guilds (APES/SALAD BAKERS/ TRIBES) and TOP ranking players started to LEAD alliance AVs on discord.
The strat is nothing new on 40men BGs honor farming. Itâs to hide and wait for horde to push, then farm them at cim and push all of a sudden while capping. This is specially great in full vocal and worked during 1 month or so but now as all top guilds/players stopped ranking, the execution is not there anymore and most leaders are bad.
Alliance gets wiped out at SH GY most of the time and the old strat doesnât work, especially in a full Pug.
Alliance can still win by rushing extreme east or west to galv and tag IB graveyard or even FG. Usually itâs a win because horde capacity to retreat and defend is inversely proportional of the number of ZUGZUG in the raid. If you have 50%+ SMORCs in the raid, then itâs loose once IG is taken by alliance.
But why bother to do that and fight for ever when you can just semi AFK and retag in less than 10 min for more HKâŠ
Pretty sure this has been covered countless times.
The problem isnât map imbalance, the problem is mentality.
Horde have much longer queue times, so naturally theyâre going to put in far more effort to win since losing means another 30+ minute long wait, there is also a greater incentive to improve at PvP as a whole to ensure a win.
Alliance donât have longer queue times so losing does not have the same level of impact, as a result there is less of an incentive to play full games and even less of an incentive to improve, hence why the Alliance just give up the moment their zerg rush fails.
Even if the map was âbalancedâ the Alliance would still lose more because they have zero-incentive to put in the same level of effort the Horde do thanks to their instant gratification problem.
