Yeah totally blizzards fault that the players are playing AV differently to Vanilla

It’s because blizzard have enabled it. The original AV had way more elite mobs, hidden mines, crazy trolls in mid field and existing elites had more hp, damage and armour compared to what is in this version.

You wouldn’t have been able to rush rush zerg in the original version because you would die before you got 3/4 of the way down the map.

The amount of whine on these forums is unreal.

It is,actually. They released 1.12 AV,which is notoriously the shortest AV in the history of WoW

Their excuse what they didn’t have the data for pre 1.12 AV,yet they proved it was a lie when they released pre 1.12 AV for an event in retail

can i have your gold?

People rush it in the 1.5 version of retail and there is all that.

Gear and abilities are vastly different though and that makes a big difference to what you are able or not able to do.

Also I don’t understand how a classic AV event can be in retail which is what everyone remembers AV for, but the excuse for not having it in actual classic is because they didn’t have the code? Seems crazy to me.

You think you do, but you don’t strikes back at full force

You literally get two shots by the lieutenants and commanders as a dps in Korrak’s Revenge, the mobs are super strong. If AV get rushed it’s not that the mobs are too weak, is just that we are better at the game now that back in the game.

Stay in AV while I level in peace thanks

Why would you make that comment when the different versions have a huge effect on how you play AV?

Because if you really want to you can play it like we used to? You only need an organised def of 10-15 people. Of course, if more than three quarters from both faction just rush through and don’t care about secondary objectives the game is over in 5min.

And with organised def I mean a handful of mages that jump the other faction at Balinda / Galvangar, kill the healers and wipe them right there.

The thing is, if you can’t find 10 people in the BG that want a long drawn out BG then maybe you’re just a very vocal minority here in the forums. I saw two Icelords summoned in the last 48 hours and had 5 or 6 AVs that lasted longer than 30min. AV is fine imo.

For AV to be like it was in vanilla, one side just needs to defend. It’s up to the players when they want to make that decision.

Oh how long did you know they would release 1.12 version of game? A year before release? Stop crying, you knew that.

You want Vanilla AV? Here it is. Kelthuzad horde premade, AV under 4 minutes. Video in from 2006. Enjoy.

Video from : october 2006.
1.12 patch : august 2006.

So basically the video you show as a counter is using the 1.12 Alterac, which is PRECISELY the whole problem we’re complaining about.
Congrat retard, you played yourself.

You are complaining about smt which was clear more than a year before Classic launch. Who is retard ? There is even article on polygondotcot from 15th June 2018 which says WoW Classic will be on 1.12 patch.

Btw what is Vanilla? 1.12 isn´t Vanilla or what? Is it 1.8, is it 1.5, is it 1.10? What exactly is “Vanilla”? Tell me.

Q. What is WoW® Classic?
A. World of Warcraft Classic is a faithful recreation of the original WoW experience, as it was in 2006.

Q: What version of Alterac Valley will be in Classic?
A:
The 1.12 version of Alterac Valley will be added to the game in [Phase 3 of the content roll-out plan]

You get a version of AV which was announced. End of story. This “oooh Blizz we are having 1.12 AV on 1.12 patch, fock you Blizz”, you are embarrasing yourself, sorry.

One of my favorite things in old AV was to defend and gank people by using the mine fields. How do I go about doing that in Classic?
