AV queue times

That quote perfectly summarizes some of the major mindset issues plaguing the Alliance side.

  1. Why can’t you win in the PvP to push back the horde once sh gy is assaulted? That isn’t a map thing. That’s just a PvP ability thing.
  2. Why won’t you stubbornly defend everything? Why won’t you tryhard to win?
  3. You say the Alliance cave position is horrible. Yet it’s better positioned to defend the base and quicker take back SP GY to stop the Horde spawning north if the aid station isn’t capped yet, compared to the opposite on the Horde side.

See? Mindset issues.

  1. You can push only so far the until The respawn distance is too great even grouping up as 40 trying to push through that Choke point at the top of the hill puts Allience extreme disadvantage while horde are respawning close by it’s very easy for horde to defend shgy

  2. You can stubbornly defend spgy but it’s not going to advance the game you cannot summon Allience boss from that position while the horde will simply rank up hks until lok summoned and he will break the turtle no problem then you have the hph players to deal with which is the second problem I mentioned along with map imbalance.

  3. It’s not a better position to defend the base quicker if you have to take fall damage and run through spgy cap it back then the bridge is actually horde favour at this point since they will be on the otherside and can defend it if you decide to take back shgy at this point the game is over because the horde are already in your base.

that is irrelevant, since you can go south as a ghost when there is a hard capped IBGY.

There are just alot people at the alliance, that want to cause deffturtles on purpose and as long those people have any meaningful impact in the alliance BG groups, alliance will never get past 10% win rates even if the had the map advantage.

So ghosting all the way from sp to ibgy is your solution have you even timed how long that takes to run there as a ghost. Not to mention soon as it gets soft capped once on route will completely screw you on top of that not every player knows that is a thing.holding ibgy doesn’t equal win for allience as horde just needs 15 to defend. Swapping the maps will swap the win rate 100%.

If your serious about winning as Allience you can’t never ever lose SHGY without it horde advantage is just too great but you will have to expect games to go for hours good luck trying to convince some hph guys on your team to hard defend.

The only other way for allience to actually win is cloak and dagger hiding till they pass and rush bottom without capping GYs to catch them by suprise but in a PvP Vs PvP horde have the upper hand on ibgy and shgy with the map so good luck

yep you are actually a good example why we keep getting nothing but deffturtle losses

it’s funny how alliance AVs are basically as bad as it can possible gets, and yet people are still afraid of taking risks in a video games with no active progress punishment.

I never said I don’t take risks your the one complaining about losing a game by sitting on ibgy. It’s not the players trapped north to blame for your loss is your fault just as much by doing nothing to help them.maybe go back and take shgy your probably one of those hph heros I take it you sat on hill of shame soon as you lost ibgy instead of reclaiming shgy why didn’t you get it back ?

I just think your ghosting tactic sucks try shift the blame more please

The reason it’s bad as it can possibly get it is the map nothing to do with players turtling. the horde turtle shgy it works out fine for them since you obviously lost that game and couldn’t retake it from their turtle

you’re NEVER “trapped” north with IBGY hard capped! that’s the point.

By the time they have ghosted all the way to ibgy the horde have already won. even if all of them ghosted the time it takes ghosting down when nobody from ibgy is pushed south or attacking shgy the horde will have a free pass into the Allience base on mounts quicker and without any opposition. all while the 15-20 horde cave respawning will easily stop you from winning.

You tell me how do you expect to win that game you should have already pushed south before that hard cap when you still had the numbers because staying ibgy will get you nowhere fast

First not really true and second it makes the difference between having a really terrible deffturtle AV loss and a somewhat reasonable AV loss with atleast SOMETHING achieved.

You think it makes a difference to win but in reality if the horde had nobody to stop them they would be capping the base GYs faster than those ghosts could respawn at ibgy.

Yes I agree getting to Ibgy and being able to kill luitenants is alot better honor per hour than a defturtle loss as you call it maybe not for rep but definately for honor

ask yourself these questions

why is it a loss when Allience turtle and a win when horde turtle ?

how many games have you successfully taken back shgy when horde have it hardcapped?

How many times have horde successfully taken ibgy from you when Allience hardcapped?

Do the horde need to ghost to reinforce shgy to push north?

And think of the reasons why this is possible and how it impacts your games

They clearly refuse to see reason.

Theres a reason blizzard moved the cave back already in tbc.

Any1 who thinks the horde 20 spawn cave dosent add a huge advantage is not worth debating with.

Was bored at work earlier told the horde complaining about queue times why it is the case and then got the it’s Allience mentally is the only reason why we lose AV chat got me in argumentive mood haha but your right it’s like banging your head against a brick wall.

they only see what they wanted to see totally biased beware had some counter arguments that were true but
which doesn’t translate into winning games

I am rank 12 54% with 78k HKs, I never saw a horde win with horde went into full turtle mode int he same fashion as alliance does.

a surprising amount. but usually only after IBGY was lost by the alliance and the respawn retook SHGY which effectivly only added another 30 mins to the loss.

not to often if we had 35+ people there. it really makes a surprisingly high difference if you have 28 people there for 36.

not to certain if they ghost. but horde definitely tries to get north once they realize they wont easily get the alliance away from IBGY.

again for me it’s not about winning, it’s mostly about avoiding deff turtles, since those are the worst for both honor & rep.
And many alliance players simply seems to want to cause deffturtles on purpose for whatever misguided reason.

I mean we’re at the point now were at not even half of the AVs alliance even tries to get south of SHGY. They just straight up turtle there from the beginning, then eventually turtle at SPGY when enough went AFK, and then eventually get wiped once the icelord comes.

it doesn’t even matter how far south horde spawns at this point. if people don’t even try to get south of SHGY you will never win

Yeah. Very different reasons than what you think. Go check the patch history and see for yourself what kind of AV they changed it for. Spoiler alert: It wasn’t this AV.

blizzard will surely change the queueing system now that horde is whining about it this much. I dont hide the fact that im salty about blizzard moving premades from av, since that was the only way for ally to win av’s. So i say never change the queue system blizzard. never. ever.

The entire horde strategy is a hard turtle the whole objective they play is to cap shgy turtle back to ibgy clean up Allience and sit at shgy until it hard caps and do a 50/50 push while stopping Allience passing sh bunker keeping them trapped north they know soon as it’s capped and they have ibgy they win they also chase and kill any Allience who are trying to get luitenants you know because it’s more honor for them.

I’d like to see those games you said you recap hardcapped shgy it’s only happened a handful of games that I’ve seen if you managed this feat I’m surprised you lost.

If you need 35+ people to push through 15 horde defenders there is something fundamentally wrong here and if more horde are defending they shouldn’t be able to capture shgy

Would be best if they’d just disable automatic matchmaking for teammates. Elevate all BGs to raid status. It’d get rid of so many problems in PvP.

Get rid of honor in AV

2 hours of queue just to get into an ongoing game, i feel like blizzard is just trolling me at this point. Why cant they make the queueing system make the option of queueing for fresh like this is pointless i just wasted 2 hours now for 1k honor .
