For people that play multiple classes, having to farm Azerite on every character is already tedious and crappy, but now, we also have to farm and unlock essences on EVERY character, damn it blizzard, some people have lives and don’t have the time to do this kind of grind…
imagine farming 300k+ honor
8.2 would of been awesome if blizz didnt screw it up with over the top time gates and forcing pve / pvp vice versa crap and insane requirements…
Literally shot themselves in the foot with this…
Not quite, they shot us in the foot.
But i gave up on achieving everything on every class i have simply because it’s to time consuming.
What? Which azerite trait requirement is insane? I think they undertuned them, a lot.
Rank 4 requirements are pretty insane if you have alts. Like the one where you need to get 100k honor.
Hell, even the rank 3 version requires 50k honor.
As always.
Yeah, but rank 4 only gives you visuals. So you don’t really need it. I casually farm honor since the patch day, and I’ve got 35k+. So I will get the rank3 essence before the raid. Remember this content will stay for like 4-5 month, so if you can earn everything first week, then you will be bored pretty quickly.
As someone with 12+ 120 chars I support this idea
I personally don’t care about the 4rth rank, but the problem is that every rank is locked.
Well, I personally won’t get bored since I have plenty of other stuff to do like achievement hunting, fishing, archaeology, collections etc, but I get your point.
Farming 50k honor is like less than a week if you grind bgs. If you want the essence on your alt, invest into it. If not, then don’t, creating an alt and gearing / progressing with it, is your own choice. If you don’t have enoguh time for an alt, then focus on your main.
The thing is, most alt players like me don’t focus on one character, I like to play a different class every session, so grinding for the sake of grinding is just bad.
Creating systems that punish alts brings nothing positive in to the game. Is the game going to get worse if essenses where acc wide? All it does is that it creates players fatigue. Also if someone gets boored from playing 1 class, witch isn’t that hard with bfa class design, they will most likely leave the game instead of playing an alt.
But what’s the point of the main character if everything is account bound? Also if somebody invest time into a character, that should be superior to other characters with less time investment.
That in turn will bite Blizzard on the backside
The time investments in WoW feel like time wastes. Winning 100 bg-s and doing 500 wq-s is a waste of time. They should just make it like it was in MoP and before MoP, you known, when they weren’t ashamed of showing the sub numbers.
U know that before MoP there were waaay less catch-up mechanism than today right?
And way way less gear resets. Since the middile of Wrath there where planty of catch ups.
When a new raid launched, they increased the item level cap in the old exps too.
