I am just curious to know your opinion in the matter of expansions.
I love the game, mechanics, it’s graphics and combat. I feel like every other MMO I try out just doesn’t do what WoW does. But there is one particular thing that bothers me and I want to know how you feel about it.
Is there anyone else who wishes that the game would be more focused on “earth” things? Like… I would want that further expansions would be less focused on “cosmic” threats like it was in Shadowlands, and more focused on Azeroth. You know, lesser evil bad guys, not someome whi threats to end the world and all of that.
I want to feel like an adventurer, not like a Superhero. Just as how it sort of was in previous expansions.
Dragonflight gives me a good hope and I wish blizz/MS would stick to dragons, demons, hags [BfA, Waycrest quest line-my favorite] instead of things like we have in Shadowlands.
I might not have it described it precisely, as english is not my native language, but I guess you get my point.
Anyone else feeling the same way?
Also, I wish the old zones in EK and Kalimdor were viable again.
Would be nice, yes, a global revamp and update from the outdated graphics and towns and areas “stuck in the past”; looking at you Exodar and Silvermoon!
Most of the stuff before Pandaria are looks like from Minecraft so pixaleted and cubic
I like that it feels we’re heading back to the roots. I absolutely hated being referred to as the hero, the chosen one, wielding ashbringer etc…I disliked the fel green, the grey and dark depressing content we had to endure for all expansions after MoP, and I feel relieved that we don’t have to endure having Anduin and Sylvanas being shoved down our throats
I actually want more cosmic stuff. It’s sad lots of people didn’t like it just because Shadowlands wasn’t that great for them (but I think it’s for other reasons than “it’s cosmic”).
Azeroth is already cluttered, I want to go to all the realms of the cosmic forces.
i to want to feel like an adventurer after my countless world shaping adventurers oh no i can’t because thats not how Fantasy fame works if anything by now they should be worshiping the ground i walk on and i should be the leader of the horde but this is a mmo so we can’t have everything Swtor got it right when they made you Emperor
if you want to be farmer joe turned adventurer CRAPSTIC is waiting for you …
It’s been my biggest WoW wish for a while now. I think a lot of people feel the same way.
I’d be basically repeating what you already stated. Also, capital cities revamp Remember someone on the forums saying Stormwind looks like Legoland in 2022
I have a good feeling about DF in this regard as well, I wouldn’t be surprised if the expansion after that would really take us even fully back. It seems like a huge task, but hey I am an optimist (that’s a lie)!
Let’s hope for it to happen. I was considering playing classic so I tried but the mechanics/combat was boring for todays measures.
I also liked that before, you had to go through an adventure in order to be better. Nowadays they just throw everything at you in few hours and then it’s all about min-maxing. Feels like there is no point in doing quests and campaign past certain point because you can just spam mythics to gear up quickly then kill the raid and that’s it.
Well that’s kinda the problem for me at least. The game has become more about instanced multiplayer gameplay rather than massive multiplayer. It feels more like going from lobby to lobby than adventuring in a wide open world.
I know alot of people are happy about microsoft, but just know this: They are intending to buy activision-blizzard for their mobile games mainly. Call of duty mobile, candy crush, diablo immortal. I doubt, that they will directly influence world of wacraft personally. I imagine, that they would just let them handle it as they did before, unless the revenue starts sinking. There are also alot of potentially negative changes, that could come even, like them cutting staff, or trying to reduce their costs on wow to increase the margin, unless dragonflight has really high numbers
