Ban repeat dungeon leavers(temp ban not perma)

We need to do some LFG together it’ll feel like heaven for you xD

As long as the game is teeming with ah botters and botter multiboxer druids farming outdoor world and gold sellers not getting banned nobody WILL get banned for leaving a dungeon. I don’t like leavers too but that is what it is. They aren’t breaking the ToS.

Connecting the concepts of time and value…in an online game meant to be played for leisure. Yeah, whoever doesn’t value their own time over the time of a random stranger in an online game is doomed to get trampled over and have their joy-factor reduced significantly.

Being selfish when it comes to subjective subjects is fine, heck, it’s almost required.

And you sound like you think suffering is a virtue. Join a convent.

I would argue they are.

It comes under griefing and causing other players to experience a less than desirable playing experience, leading to people even possibly leaving the game if it happens frequently enough.

If you are consistently causing harm in the game to others then this will be covered under the ToS. This is not a free for all where you get to do what you want, when you want and to whoever you want.

Furthermore, i bet the amount of loot leavers is causing less dungeon to be run. I stopped doing runs now even on characters i need loot on. I cant be bothered to deal with timeouts and CD’s forced on me by other players.

Dungeon deserter debuff should be 7 days, and accoutwide.

Or i could just be a selfish prick like everybody else.

I havent read the whole thread - could someone explain why people are having issues with others leaving dungeons? From my experience, the leaver gets replaced, and thats that. Im genuinely curious.

It’s the amount. Atm there are many people leaving after “their” boss is killed, especially tanks and heals can be an issue if they leave.
Most groups are filled within seconds so it’s mostly an “urgh” and the new player is there. But during calm times it can take a while.

I am mostly annoyed if I am the one to fill. If it happens sometime, easy. But again: the amount is annoying. Especially if you want gear and get filled after the good drops are gone.
I think it’s worse for LFR, but still annoying in LFG.

Especially as DPS, I can understand the frustration to wait 10-60 minutes (including LFR here) to then be filled for the last boss. Kill and back to the queue, in the worst case another hour of waiting. Great. And in LFR I don’t leave before the boss with ID because I don’t want another player to be my fill and having to queue again, but it isn’t worth it since I have ID…

Thx for explaining. I dont see why people care when someone else leaves - even if its a healer or a tank, you dont even need them to complete the dungeon. I absolutely understand though that its annoying to backfill into an already started dungeon.

in before starting tomorrow dveles will be just like thorgast - so everyone going 5 man and people requiring 620 itlv min in 2 weeks

and solo players complaining they cannot complete +8 on class X or Y because they die to much while others will blaze thugh it in 5 man likely 1 tank 4 dps groups

god i have my popcorn ready

tthats because they have absolutely 0 reason to stay .

no reward just carrying random people.

dont blame peopel for blizzard bad non rewarding design

all they had to do is put in like 5 carved crests as reward for completion random hcs and put the lower crests as all boss kills rewards

literaly nobody would be leaving.

Well honestly I’m kinda enjoying this discussion from an observers perspective. I’m not playing on the international realm pool, but a friend does.

We queue on tarren mill and have a lot of leavers each dungeon. I get lead, we queue on my realm pool and have 80% less leavers plus 95% more chill people.
I really dislike the English realms for their LFG.

I understand why they do it, I just still dislike it.
I would like to have some continuous dinar system that rewards every boss kill and allows you to buy your desired trinket or item after a reasonable amount of runs. Would be nice for m+ as well with some reasonable scaling, but at least for up to m0 it shouldn’t be an issue. I remember a friend having to run one m+ over 20 times to get his BiS weapon. Just make it so he can just buy it after 30-40 runs and he will not bother grinding that one dungeon until he despises it, but will enjoy m+ instead.
And of course I would like to have such a system for raids as well. So you can buy that rare drops after 5 full clears or whatever.

I was thinking the same thing, which is why I wrote that the initiative is good, and I hope that they’ll develop it further. It will surely need some fine-tuning, like almost everything that Blizzard introduces. In any case, it’s much more than what we had before.

You are not gonna resolve a toxicity problem with toxic solutions, loot leaving is encouraged by other loot leavers the cycle continues until it stops.

I can only assume you’re talking about ara kara but this is a loot table issue not a toxicty issue , a lot of people need that trinket from the first boss and they know the rng isn’t kind. I think where posdible and design allows they should just shift the loot table around so the trinket everyone needs drops from the last boss not the first. To be clear a player leaving isn’t toxic they’re trying to build the toon I don’t think they should be penalised for essentially playing the game in a way that values their time and in a lot of ways other peoples.

I stopped healing pugs now using the ingame LFD system. I am not doing it anymore.

I noticed that the que times are now climbing so it seems that other people are not using the PUG scene either.

Then there may be a solution for boosting communities. It is quite early in the exp as well which could also be the reason… everyone wants to DPS?!
