I’ve said it elsewhere but I’ll do it again. As a no-friends pugger who does a 10-12 each week on this character and 5-7 on a few alts I’ve not seen RIO mentioned in a pug listing for months. People have moved on.
I have seen it advertised for 15+ keys and that is exactly what it (to me at least) was designed for.
The same alternative Rio fans keep throwing at people who defend it.

I didn’t missinterpreti and i will stand by my point. The greatest fotball team don’t get relegated to all of the qualifiers. In my country depending where you are you will get less qualifiers with different championship receiving more privelege i know this only from discussing with my co-workers who like football but i think premiere league gets more spot to the championship so does the spanish one etc. Having done something the last seaosn always influences and seriously talking about sportgame. Take hearthstone or league of legends(you know actually video games) and make the analogy there. And also i wasn’t the one to start with the analogy but great reding into it.
I’ve also done and timed +15 that doesn’t mean rio isn’t garbage ,bad or didn’t try it’s best to just not let me to start them. I timed all my +15 on the first try without any stupid issues without using IO but Ilvl alone and only 1 druid healer was questionable during WCM where i had to tank the tree boss without a healer from 40-0. But i had to waste alot of time trying to apply to groups that can’t use their brain and reject me so i was forced to run like my key 3 times untill i had gotten a dungeon i haven’t done(cause i want for the r4) so ive wasted around 3 hours if not more just for this garbage because rio is denying acces.
Not all the 15’s group i have applied has rio specifically stated out,but somehow i got rejected although i got the ilvl/achievements etc to show how much i know about the game, but rio doesn’t factor that in at all.
Dude, if you think you’re that capable, I’m sure the key owners would notice.
But in reality, it was a paladin applying (-150 application points), with no current record for the dungeon that he is applying for (-150 application points) and probably whispering about why you’re a good choice (-500 application points).
Aaaand…there’s 5 more in the que with better class ( blame Blizzard), better score (blame idk who), no wisping (because the score talks on its own).

This is so factually wrong, i applied 80% of the times to group formed of 1 person and even to full groups they are still there 20 minutes later !!! after i wasn’t even denied they just don’t accept don’t write anything just letting me waste time waiting for a response.

Yes your previous seasons score is worthless save for the few weeks of the new season, because…waaait for it…things changed, affixes, difficulty.

if you used to do 15s in time then you in no time will do them also in S3. What is exactly the issue. Heck in S1 I did not do any M+, In S2, I did 15s and struggled, In S3, I do not blink an eye when run 16’s, and do not even bother to think about routes or comps.
In other words, if you supposedly did something in past, you will get to old level soon enough and at start of S3 my S2 's 15’s didn’t mean much since I barely did 10 at time as emissaries and mobs were boosted so they ate trough my tank like I was made of paper. Now with same level of gear and experience (amount of dungeons done with new affix) - I am even better than I used to.
I am not sure what is the issue here. If you did 15s in past, you do 15s now. And is there something shameful for your ego to do couple of 5-7-9s before 10+ in next season ?
It is very simple and has worked for hundreds of years without end…
Do stuff with that player and see how it is. Teach if need arises.
Reminds me of WOTLK times when skilled players were denied access to raid groups or even dungeon heroic because that damned gearscore was not as good as they deemed it should be…

There is more difference between 2 weeks than between the seasonal affix, why are we not resetting the score between weeks? Riddle me this why does 1 affix require a score reset?The diffculty got increased?The gear got increased more again for all intent and purposes we push higher and higher each season beacuse of the gear. So 1.5 k rio in season 1 should hold more value than 1.5 in season 2 yet it’s opposite because of score wipe.
Between a skittish/burst/tyranicall and teeming/necrotic/fortified a +15 done on the first has should have no resemblence in doing a +15 on the second. Majority of people that would time a 15 first week won’t ever finish a 13 on the second ,same with dungeons a 15 kr should yield 200 not 150 because it’s kr. But alas maybe you understood what i said. The ideea is the score remains between those 2 weeks which is much more different than a reaping or beguiling affix.
Back then people were even using bad gear sins it did give better GS. I prefer BC expantion without this pressure, WOW was more inclusive of players back then.
If you are a casual today you will not be able to do anything else then LFR and some really low-level m+. No one would ever pick you for a raid or a dungeon.
This is one of the many reasons casual players have moved to classic.
Sins I don’t live in front of wow anymore I would not put down the effort to see it reset every 4 months. To me wow is dead as a game sins the attitude agains including people has changed. I just log in and level some characters now and then, but it’s getting longer between my account activations.
The big looser in the end will be Activation sins players quit.
Thats not true though, i’m a casual myself and have done alot of m+ and a little bit of raididing (it doesnt really appeal to me that much anymore). All i had to do was to join a community where they dont look at rio or ilvl or experience. Made alot of new friends in that community aswell that i talk to every day. If u’re going full on pugging then yeah, maybe its harder to get into groups, but there are other options. I dont pug at all and do just fine.
Well. The issue is mostly in the anti-raider “camp”. I easily use rio(and have rio used on me) when I pug and don’t bother with rio with friends, guildies and etc.
When I say the same to anti - rio party.
“I cant make my own group or get friends because [insert any random reason here]”.

TBC was not inclusive of players at all. Being in a guild to see any raids from the inside was mandatory, and you couldn’t easily jump raid tiers until toward the end. There were no PUG raids of any kind on most servers. Raiding was difficult for a number of reasons, many guilds spent weeks wiping at the same bosses, with 3+ raid days per week. Now you can clear heroic TEP in under 90 minutes.
Guilds are a thing, which work for everyone. A “casual player” can also easily PUG normal and heroic raids, you can get raid-level gear from numerous sources, and you can build up your RIO score at your own pace. None of these options existed in vanilla or TBC.
BFA is probably the most casuai-friendly version of the game. Vanilla and TBC were the least casual-friendly versions if you wanted to do any kind of end game content.
