Classic is popular because it is Classic and not Retail.

i dont see any problem with those features changing hair doesnt make u win in a game its just cosmetic most times hidden with a helmet
they cant keep the game years doing naxx over and over
so it leads to classic + with changes , unless they scrap it and just release tbc
and the argument of no changes its flawed as original vanilla never had layering and many other features u see here , paladins nerf etc etc
I have been rethinking my stance on the #nochanges classic thing and now I think some things should be added, but only cosmetic things, nothing else. Things like Transmog, barber shop, not a mount tab, LFD or anything like that.
I’m not on board for a barbershop but meh whatever…
But transmog? Aw hell no

I pay sub to play Classic, I don’t care about Retail.
Blizzard won’t add all those cosmetic items to Classic for Gold, since some people are dumb enough to pay sub and pay extra for things that games should have for in game currency instead of real money.
One of the biggest reasons I have stopped playing Retail WoW and Final Fantasy XIV was the cash shop added to the game! (No matter how amazingly awesome FFXIV was!)
I do not tolerate any type of cash shop in a subscription based game!
And I’m not a whimp unlike most people who vent on forums if something like that happens to the game they pay sub for but still keeps paying sub!
Blizzard had a huge success with Classic, because it is not like Retail in any way.
It’s up to them if they wish to loose all those subs by adding cash shop and other pathetic stuff from Retail to Classic.
That’s not how transmog works, try again, troll. There were a few transmog helms in the cash shop, I am talking about the normal transmog system. You know, you get an item and it’s added to your list.
I’m not a troll, I was talking about Cash Shop items, sevices, and the reason most games are full of cosmetic micro transactions and I’m sure you know most people who play Classic are against Transmog.

There are no cash shop transmog items. That is specifically what I was talking about, ingame transmog. Whereas you are just moaning about everything and anything in a cash shop.
I’m sure there are a lot of things you don’t like about Retail, otherwise if you would like Retail more, you would be playing Retail and not Classic, so like I said it’s better to stand by #NoChanges then slowly but surely (because of other players “ideas” and “suggestions” like you) we all end up with a 2nd Retail!
I think even a child could understand that much.
So is it really wrong from me to expect adults to understand?

#nochanges is a failed experiment. It was a dream, a utopian bubble that has now well and truly burst.
The release of classic triggered a shift in game development and design, it showed that people didn’t want Insta fun cash shop mtx.
Adding in simple features such as a barber shop (which is very fitting for an mmoRPg) isn’t an issue and doesn’t automatically mean the beginning of the end. It won’t lead to blizz adding cash shop to classic, the message that gamers don’t like that was made loud and clear from the immense success of classic.
But the reality is that to keep classic alive there will have to be a compromise, players are either in a different phase of their personal lives or come from a different era of video games.
Things that could be ok,
Barber shop
Tmog or other outfit customisation (don’t say gear is an achievement as that implies you want achievements in game)
Better character stat UI
Equipment manager
A few extra mail boxes and instant mail between alts and guild, or at least reduced from 1hr to maybe 10 mins
Things not ok,
Any form of auto something
Any form of real world transaction
Insisting on #nochanges will lead to classics failure and then you’ll have retail or private to choose from.
