Hi, battlegrounds are meant to be released today (09/012025) on wow classic anniversary realms (as stated by blizzard website)
Can someone remind blizzard they said today was the day for battlegrounds? Kinda bored
(they edited my previous post and blocked myself from commenting on my own post, to make it seem like they didn’t lie, you can google wow classic anniversary roadmap and see that warsong and alterac are meant to be released the same time as pvp ranking and honor system)

- 1/9: Phase 2 including the updated Honor System, Dire Maul, and world bosses Azuregos and Kazzak.
- 1/16: Warsong Gulch and Alterac Valley Battlegrounds Open.

I go by the roadmap blizzard gave when they announced it, shame they have gone back on their promise but can’t say I didn’t see it coming. Just disappointment
They literally said in a bluepost last month that bgs will come a week after.

Do you know if Class quest (Sunken Tempel quests) are included in phase 2 as well?
A roadmap is a timeframe plan, the layout of what aims they would be hoping to achieve over a set period of time. This goes for anything and not just WoW or gaming. They are affectively showing you what they are working “towards”.
with that in light, can you define the word “promise” for me? Your definition seems a tad bit off.

Literally every single person except you knew how it would be… it is definitely not blizzards fault but your own.
We needed some time of wpvp honor system without BGs. It’s only one week now to protect the whiny pve sheep that got lost on a pvp realm

They know perfectly well that releasing the honor system without BGs is a total fiasco because it was the same crap in 2019 with the first wave of classic servers.
Perhaps they’re hoping some players will rage quit and go play retail instead?

It’s even simpler than that, Blizzard doesn’t even want to give the Classic team the means to manage the phases differently, change the order, etc.
So they just apply the same pattern in a stupid way.
