I’m on a decent pop server and no guilds are recruiting, i repeat…im looking at chat and no guilds are advertising,
so i guess i need to pug,
Gdkp’s you need 40k gold to even be considered, then guess what…
you need high GS,
you need all achievements,
you need rare logs minimum, on that character because apparently linking your mains logs doesn’t count, so having alt’s isn’t a thing anymore,
you need to be inspected,
your spec has to be " meta "
All of this to do a 30 minute TOGC and Ulduar which is has been out for months now and was cleared on the first night,
If you’re the guy that requires all of this in order to clear a TOGC, you’re a reptile, simple as.
Buy gold on G2G or WoW Token and then you can be invited to a GDKP raid without having archievement and 99+ logs. You need to spend about 50$-200$ every week per character if you want to be proper geared up! (Bis like Death Choice and stuff will be closer to 200$, but you can get tier pieces for 50$ each pretty easy) Thats the new META and how Blizzard wants it!
Remember Wow is a job for most of the hardcore players, welfare in europe is low and inflation is destroying life quality! With GDKP is possible for people to earn real world money while spending all day gaming and at same times it provides service to raiders with good economy to get Bis items quick! Its a win win for everyone!
Win for Blizzard that sells more and more wow tokens since many people are afraid of buying botted gold on G2G, even tho nobody has ever been banned for it or the gold having been taken away from them.
Most recruiting does not happen in chat, but rather on your servers discord. You should go check out that instead of writing a highly exaggregated whine post on the forums.
I know you’re meming but 200€ is like 80k and with that budget and no gear nobody will invite you. Deaths choice regularly sells for 400k+ in good GDKPs as well.
Also, guilds are recruiting. What’s more likely is that op is a fury warrior and nobody wants those.
Afaik, the most often cited budget in a lower-end GDKPs is 40k gold, and that is 48eur worth on g2g on my realm Earthshaker. And you can probably get several non-bis pieces for that budget. Once you get to about 4.8 gs using the crusader orb craftables, runed orb craftables, some BoP maybe, you can start coming as a semi-buyer aiming to blow your 40k on a BiS piece, and actually get gold via cuts.
Or you know, apply to a guild and just play the game for free. Mine has 3 raid teams, one that does splits, one that doesn’t and one for alts/benches/socials and is constantly spamming for recruits in trade.
Exactly, you haven’t even cleared the content over a month in. Who in their right mind would want to play like that? Switching Anub to Normal is an admission of defeat and cowardice.
Did you check realm discord and faction discord? If every source is dead for recruiting then it just means the realm is slowly dying off, stagnating before the next Classic expansion.
Also add Summer, D4, Starfield, Cyberpunk, and whatever is released this year. It will drain some players.
WoW is heavily guild and loot driven to function, and often you have to start at the expansion launch or fall behind and be excluded. And if you take a break you fall behind as well and may as well wait till the next expansion to have a chance on a comeback.
Curious about what Blizzard will do past Dragonflight. Most countries don’t have favorable demographics and younger generations don’t tend to play old MMOs. And this is like 10 000 topic about “get a guild” and they are still coming. My retail guild on a Horde megarealm died between BfA and SL and that’s like something hard to do on a monofaction megarealm.
P2W and P4Whatever is just short-term solution, milk franchise while it lasts.
I was thinking more in terms of how multi or single-player it will move. FFXIV is already moving toward solo compatibility and they are extremely afraid of adding anything to the game that would “force” players to log in/grind daily or even weekly. The Japanese population is the oldest in the world, South Korea aging rapidly, and Europe or China isn’t that much better. Old MMOs turn out into dad/mom games while kids go mobile and flavor of the month.
Will be fun to see if Ashes of Creation launches/keep their “hardcore” PvP aspect or if will they back off and launch PvE realms or make WPvP severely limited. New World wanted to be such a game, but early feedback quickly dumped that idea in the trash can. Now they are focusing more on solo player experience and it somewhat starting to bounce back.
If the Microsoft deal goes through and MS manages to change the whole leadership then maybe we will see some changes. WoW IMHO is in need of a reboot.
Let me guess, you’re a below average geared DPS Warrior trying to get into guilds with 4 people lined up waiting for Shadowmourne already? Guilds are constantly recruiting, always, there is no exception because a guild that isn’t recruiting is a guild that will die.
Thats a big problem indeed.
Discord should ban wow discord servers for the sake of the game.
People need to check the forums to understand what gilde is recriuting.
Server discords are the best hub to go if you want some RTM.
If you think 10k gold for 10 euro is cheap wait until you get offers from those gdkp Leaders.
Discord server even now “feature” youtubers, gdkps discord, blah blah for some extra money.
Like srs. We are at a point where people pay arena discords to have their boost “Service” shown to the world.
This does not happen in the wow forums
This does not happen on reddit.
All this shady circle jrks happen on discord.
And “normal” player should have it as hard as possible to get in touch with those shady players.
Therefore, put discord on the black list.
Therefore, blizzard has to ask discord to ban all those servers like they did it with nova boosting.
