Being ganked frustration

I’m on ZT on ali and usually I’m farming horde for hours to rank up, but then tonight I was getting ganked and killed 6 times by the same horde in BRM hunting me. It was so frustrating and just made me angry and now I see why so many horde on ZT have quit due to this, and why alia on other servers quit. To have to feel that everyday, jesus… I felt that for like 20mins and almost wanted to quit.
I bet blizz loose thousands of players everyday bg’s aren’t here due to this ganking hell. Must be costing you lot tons of money. Whos bright idea was it to wait 1 month after honor came out to release bg’s after seeing what a mess it is.

Edit: Those saying this has been happening forever on wow, I have played since vanilla. This has never happened before where thousands on every server farm kills in open world for 8+ hours straight. Camping all same areas. Since bg’s have been out for yes 15 years… Even before the honor sytem it was NEVER like this. This is not regular gangking for the odd kill for fun, this is preventing people from leveling in every 48+ zone for 24/7. I know many who have quit due to this on horde populated server.

Actually I think this thread explains it much better, and couldn’t agree more about the faction imbalance and ganking.

Stop whining and re-roll on a PvE server - it’s great - you can enjoy the game and go PvP when BG is available

6 times oh so much really?
srsly it’s part of the game, you kill other people other people kill you.
it’s been like this forever, honour system just released and every serious ranker wants to get as much honour as possible. in 2 weeks bgs will be out and people will be ganking a lot less in open world but guess what you play on a pvp server.
if you can’t withstand being ganked just play on a pve server like all the other people who can’t handle some competition

Sounds like a night in STV back in the day

If blizz listened to people like you we wouldn’t get the bg’s early in 2 weeks now. And tens of thousands more will quit and cost blizz hundreds of thousands of pounds. Smart move blizz not listening to people like this.

Only 6 times?
That’s a good day in STV!

I realise I’m a minority, but I like WPVP ranking and I’m glad to have had a chance to experience it.

URO GANK URO GANK URO GANK

Having to either exploit, get summoned while dead, exit the game, take spirit ress or make a swift portal/hearth getaway to escape a 1v10 scenario happens multiple times per day. It sure sucks and I wouldn’t be opposed to having a huge penalty to honor gained in groups larger than 5. Or even to all honor split among more than 5 players.

6 times, lol, i would gladly accept to die only 6 times before entering any dungeon in Black rock mountain, average is 20 times and its fine, so when we group up we start 30sh mins early just to get to dungeon…

Re-roll PVE servers carebear

As a veteran player I can assure you that pvp in vanilla was never this way, open world pvp came in 3 flavors;

  • random 1v1
  • small scale skirmishes with 2-5 players each side
  • TM zerg (this stopped when BGs got released, and was replaced briefly with zerging the areas with NPCs used to sign up for BGs, before those were moved to cities)

The roaming death squads that lock down entire zones / camp instances for days on end is new to classic.

It is of course unrealistic to expect that the meta of pvp would not change with people getting a better idea of how ranking works and how valuable pvp gear is to some classes, but the current situation isn’t fun for anyone; not the people who spend 50%+ of their time corpserunning, and I cant imagine its too much fun for the people spending all their play time riding around and pressing instant casts to try and get in on the “sweet” ~20 honor per kill

People have suggested faction queues as a solution to this, but I don’t see it fixing it tbh., you would still be out and about solo leveling/farming and getting killed by roaming death squads - instead of it being 10 different ones it would just be 5 different ones.

Wouldn’t people who don’t like current wPvP just wait a few weeks until BGs are released and then start playing again? No need to unsubscribe because of that.

I’ve been camping dungeon entrance spots are roaming EPL, WPL, Winterspring and Feralas for about two weeks now. Getting in skirmishes with allie groups has been most fun I’ve had in classic so far. Pvp has been amazing and honestly can’t wait for bgs to be released. A to your frustration, I cannot understand why you would roll on a pvp server if you dont enjoy killing or being killed.

I don´t agree. If you only allow the same number of players from both factions to play, I don´t see why Horde would still be outnumbering Alliance in most zones. Actually the problem is not only the imbalance, but also the higher player cap. But if you only allow the same numbers of players play the game and you let thousands Horde players in a queue, it would not only fix the balance issues, but it would make the game better experience overall as the zones would not be flooded by people as there would be thousands less people in the world at any time.

I wish Blizzard will implement it soon, because the longer they wait, the worse it will be as Alliance is leaving every day… so if the numbers of players should be the same, every day the Alliance is leaving it is also lowering the number of Horde players that will be allowed to get in the game once queues are implemented.

Assuming this was directed at me;

I rolled on a pvp server because I like this, but this is not what is happening currently If I set foot outside of the ‘safezones’ I am getting farmed pure and simple, there is no pvp involved when you get killed in 1 GCD by 10+ players that often times dont render in until after the screen turns grey ( blizzard seriously need to fix their network traffic )

The only problem with the word pvp, its simply not controlled at all… The easiest solution would be to choose pvp locations(idk on discord by big pvp/pve guild should talk) where the factions can travel and kill eachother like in some parts of southshore/tarrenmill and other hidden places.In the long run this Dungeon entrance / FP/ Questhub/ Boat etc… camping will just ruin or kill the game because not all of us have always free 1-2 hours just to enter an instance or even leave a FP.

What a pathetic post. Equaly as pathetic as pople quitting over some pvp. Should have rolled on a pve server.

Not necessarily disagreeing, but I have a feeling you’ll regret telling that to everyone when wpvp will be dead in a month.

If i know one thing for sure, then it is tmthst pvp wont die before naxx is out. It will becones smaller scale. More like 1v1, 2vX and so on, but it wont die. If anything it becomes more for fun imo. This big raid battles are super boring to me. I like the 3v3 or 3 v X the most.

Because Alliance is slacking in Ironforge spamming WTS Useless Garbage in trade chat or spamming LFM for Dungeon X, all drops reserved.
