The best melee class in the game is a death knight. But those aren’t playable yet so go with the next best thing.
Want to dominate people in pvp? Go rogue
Want to get dominated on in pvp? Roll a warrior
Want to never die in pvp? Roll a (geared) holy paladin
Want to never die and dominate people in pvp? Roll a warlock, mage or priest.
Want to one shot people in the trappuh in pvp? Roll a hunter
Want to one shot people in melee pvp? Roll an enh shaman or (prot) paladin
Want to outrun people in pvp? Roll a druid (travel form then kitty stealth)
Want to try em all in pvp? Then get to work (not actual work, I mean playing all the classes)

rogue is king of solo melee play
very fun to lvl up and having stealth while lvling is great
ambushing mobs for half their hp is so much fun

Ret paladin is for you boy
Agreed, a really strong melee weapon does boost your damage enormously. And flurry procs often starts a chain once you got high enough crit chance.

Oh this statement is wrong all around the place.
When i started playing this game (in Wrath) i was focusing on solo improving my character.
Now i’m sitting with 20k+ achievement points that i didn’t touch in Legion and BFA at all (meaning i could have evne more)
You can totally solo the game, having a fun times in mind as priority. Leveling alts, experiencing different classes, aaaaand you can hop into dungeon, some raid any time anyway.
Ok…enough from me. :=)
Rogue is probably the best.
Great control (with Stealth you decide what you will fight and what you will avoid)
Fun to level (imo…compared to other classes)
Only rogue weaknes is probably lack of some AoE.
Other than that, very strong leveler, very strong raiding/end game dps. Can’t go wrong with it.
the achievements dont give ur character anything of value though. gear is basically the only way (except for expansion specific stuff) way to improve your character, the highest levels of gear can not be achieved by playing solo.
You can always join pugs.
Ofc best gear cannot be obtained solo.
As solo you probably mean never joining any group of people, ofc gear will be way weaker.
As solo i count doing pugs too, as it’s solely your decision when you’ll join one. And in there you do your own best…you can.
PS: Yea i know what OP ment with solo. It’s totally doable. Main point is to have fun…to find class you’ll have fun with. As i said, you can solo for ages, and can still decide at any time if you want to jump into some dungeon.
yea but there is nothing to do solo in classic like pet battles, achievments, m+,arena,rbgs etc just get to lvl 60 which is when the game actually starts.
