I’m currently leveling warrior. So what gathering professions i should choose to get mount and when i should change to alchemy/engineering?
I can’t tell you when or in what to change alchemy, engi or anything like this.
But I know for sure, that if you want gold you must take Herbalism.
It’s very easy to level up and you can get expensive herbs at low levels that will help you very much.

I was just about to type this! In your second/third zone you will start getting swifthistle fron random herbs, and it sells for a gold piece or more for each. And it only gets better from there. Now and for the next month or three is the absolutely best time to be a herbalist. People are consuming ungodly amounts of potions and elixirs to progress in Naxx. You can’t go wrong with Herbalism now, and maybe skinning for some more passive incone (or send the skins to a banking alt, you will need them to level Leatherworking for TBC, but sell the rugged hides, they are needed for T3 quests) It is really not a good idea to spend your valuable herbs to level alchemy, you won’t have any money-making recipes anyway.
Then as the rush dies down and when/if we get TBC announcement, you can use your herb money to level a TBC proffesion, most likely Blacksmithing (for BoE weapon crafts) and Leatherworking (for drums)
Herbalism is the easiest way to do it as the price of consumables has sky rocketed.
You can make decent gold early on herbing Mageroyal and Briarthorn in hopes of getting Swiftthistle they will sell for 1g minimum and even more on some servers.
Then you can get Stranglekelp which will always sell if you take Alchemy you can make Free Action Potions which will sell for 2g+ although you’ll need to also level fishing to get Oily Blackmouths if you don’t want to though you can just sell the Stranglekelp.
Goldthorn, Wild Steelbloom, Firebloom, Ghost Mushroom, Grave Moss, Fadeleaf and Blindweed will all sell and are quite valuable especially the Grave Moss and Fadeleaf as it’s used in Greater Shadow Protection Potion which every raider will want to get their paws on. Blindweed is used for Limited Invulnerability potion and Gift of Arthas so raiders will also pay for these.
Then near max level you have Dreamfoil which is used in a lot of the needed consumables for Naxx including Flasks, Plaguebloom which is extremely expensive and used for Mongoose, Gromsblood which is used for Elixir of Giants, Mighty Rage Potion and Tank flasks and Mountain Silversage used for Mongoose, Greater Arcane Elixir and Flasks all of which will currently sell for 30-40g+ per stack on most servers.
And then you have Black Lotus the grand daddy of them all which sells for obscene amounts.
TLDR Go herbalism and get your mount and epic mount before you hit level 40.
Well you want to take engineering for obvious reasons. Secondary herbalism or mining. Alchemy is quite useless for a main character would not recommend.
