Looking to make an alt.
I do some raid already and want another char to focus on pvp, i will as someone who does not work / has gf or anything to hold me back get to Rank 14, time is no issue.
I do not have friends so i need a class that is strong by itself, so no warrior.
What class is suggested? Some say Warlock but i do not buy into that, i do not want to be food for rogues. I am thinking about a mage, any downside to that? What about rogue?
mage best overall class in the game, one of the best pve, one of the best solo pvp, one of the best group pvp, best gold farmer/tied with hunter, fastest leveller
if you arent playing a mage you are basically an idiot
For solo fun, Rogue. For BGs though, Mage brings more utility and is more actively playing (not hiding in “shadows”). That’s if you want to be DPSer.
Personally, I don’t enjoy playing Rogue in AV. I feel, that I am not helping my team much. With my Priest, healing and dispelling Warriors, shielding Mages for AOE and fearing a group if opponents, make me smile.
LoL. I have absolutely no issues to be War and play AV solo capping ranks. Have a strong feeling for people who all the time looking for easy life - even Mage will be hard to play. I have a dream z one day people will start to play by classes they love and understands how to use it, not follow what other people advise. Best PvP advise.
Hunter definetly, if you can properly play a Hunter and push the class to its limits (which isn’t easy and takes time to master) you can pretty much beat anyone, nobody hard counters you in anyways. You do well in both small skirmishes and bigger skirmishes, you do well with a healer behind you and you do well playing solo, you do well 1v1 and you do well 1v multipletargets.
In my opinion hunters are the single best pvp class of Vanilla in terms of overall performance.
Just to give you a perspective, the only guy I couldn’t beat back in the days as a hunter in vanilla was this friend of mine who was a ele/resto shaman with Naxx/aq40 gear and in the end, they’re pretty much your hardest opponent, but how many fully stacked ele/resto shamans who are insane pvp players will you meet? Not many, if you even meet one.
Rogues? No problem, a good one can give you some issues but you should win atleast 50% of the fights and thats with the rogue having full cooldown, if you play a dwarf hunter you should flatout rape rogues.
Warriors? Easy
Druids? Basically free food for you
Warlocks? Top players will give you trouble but they wont beat you more then you beat them.
Spriest? Very hard early on if they’re pvp geared(rank13-14), you’re best chance is probably viperstinging them, but once you get past BWL and start getting aq40 gear, they start to get much easier.
Mages? Same as Warlock.
Honorable mentions, Shadow priest are very strong in Vanilla and an excellent pvp class to, so are Mages and Rogues to.
Warlock are good but they take quite the maintence to keep up and you have to juggle around your pets alot which is a hassle in itself to be honest.
Websites who do this sort of thing (icyveins…) have a consensus on mage and rogue, for the crowd control they have and the damage they deal.
But a good healer can do wonders.
If you are going to focus on pvp with that character you could really go with warlock and spec soul link since you don’t need to worry about raid performance… enjoy owning everyone 1v1, rogues are of no issue too.
Depends on the hunter. same goes for the warrior or whatever class you meet. A highly skilled X can kill less skilled Y regardless of class.
Sure is fun to kite warriors tho. Intercept have a shorter range than our autoshot and shots in general. Get distance on a warrior and said warrior will struggle.
But if that warrior gets close, hamstrings etc etc we have a bigger problem.
