Best server for a non min/max classic experience?

Hey guys.
I’ve been playing classic since launch and I ended up on a very min/maxy server. Even tho I didn’t rush for max level myself. The server I’m playing on is very elitist. I myself play in a world 50 guild (nothing to brag about really…) and I feel like everyone on my server just cares about rushing all content as fast as possible.

I started leveling an alt just to have a chill experience. But the world is dead and empty even tho the server is highly populated. Nobody is questing or making dungeon groups. Either people stay in the main cities with their mains or they level characters via boosting. It feels more and more like retail tbh.

I would like to level up a horde character where i can just quest and be immersed into the world, meeting people, questing and not trying to be “the best” in a 15 year old game. So do you guys have any tips on servers where people still quest/play the game normally? :slight_smile: I really would appreciate some tips.

Honestly, try a RP server. PvP servers these days are all min/max it seems. Even PVE servers are not much better.

You missed out on the best experience of classic during the launch phase. Each zone was sprawling with players leveling, it was great.

I don’t think it will be like that again. Many people have levelled up a few 60s each so not much leveling happens now.

Your best bet is Hydraxian Waterlords for PvE and Zandalar Tribe for PvP. It will by no means be like the first weeks of Classic, but most zones are alive at prime time, and there are leveling dungeon ads in LFG every now and then, not just the bullcrap WTS SM boost 5g/run.

On a contrary, I do not cry at all, it is a completely valid way to make money and to level an alt quickly. I just find it personally distasteful and prefer making groups for a quest run of each dungeon as I come into it’s level range. But to each his own.
You know, like being an insurance salesman or investment banker are valid irl strategies, but some people wouldn’t do it despite the money.

To the other guys: Yea I know but RP servers are very alliance heavy. The RP server is pretty much dead on horde side. Zandalar tribe (rp-pvp) is pretty much the same thing as other servers. I guess I’ll just raidlog my main and wait til TBC then ^^ Thanks for all of the help guys!

I play on Firemaw and the world is sparkling. The other night I ran through Duskwood on my 40 undead mage, and got ganked by three level 28 players who ganged up on me. :joy: both horde and alliance side seems to be decent at lower levels here.
