Ive been leveling a warrior since warrior is my main on bfa and loved it so i figured id level one for classic but i heard warriors are pretty much the worst class for solo world pvp or duels…
so in other words if i come across a ally (since im horde) i will be pretty much screwed since we suck so much at 1v1,
warriors apperently only shine in groups and with a healer…
now my question is IF i do reroll what class would be best for a solo player?
and also does well in pve?
i was thinking something like pure damage class like rogue, hunter, mage?
Warlock is a lot of fun.
If I wasn’t a warrior, I’d go mage because mages are a dominant class in classic in pvp and pve
I remember the time I took on 2 tauren horde on my warrior in westfall and for ages they thought it was impossible for a one warrior to take out 2 lvl 50s but if they were experienced enough they would of looked at thier combat logs to find they was being posioned by a rogue who was with me so a fair fight 2 v 2 it was so funny one came on a alliance charater gave me all the mouth saying they was going to gank me but it didnt happen you see in wpvp i dont travel alone
shamans eat mages for breakfast
Yeah warrior are trash solo. to be good when you’re alone, you need top tier gear which is gonna take ages to get if you’re not MT, and when i say Ages it means you’ll see the tank, rogues, and pretty much everyone else having their thing first.
Rogue is very independant and not require much gear to be good. Mage is great, no gear required if you’re a good player with engi. Hunter is fine
We should not forget to mention the druid here, if you are aiming mainly for solo and PvP, then a druid is awesome.
PvE endgame a little less awesome though.
Not really. Shamans can be rough but they’re not nearly as bad as warlocks or shadowpriests.
As for OP’s question, mage.
Roll druid. You won’t be the best in anything but you would by viable at everything. You can tank all the dungeon and some raid bosses. You can heal in dungeons/raids. You will be the flag carrier in WSG. And you will be using your whole class kit (balance, feral tank and dps, resto) in almost every PVP encounter.
Even more - when I do dungeons as feral dps, most of the runs, I find myself helping healer and tank when the group is in difficulty situation. Just be proactive and pay attention to healer mana and tank controlling mobs and swap away from cat and intervene if necessary. It feels great to prevent wipes.
Go SL lock and wipe the floor of any class you want except another Sl lock.
Warlocks hands down are best. Add Free Action pots and some Engineering gear plus Fear and Seduction and Warlocks are invincible played properly in most 1v1 situations.
Groungding totem, earth shock and purge. goodbye mage
Druids are god’s in world PvP when played right
Druids are decent yea. Warlock is pretty good when horde, at higher levels you get Deathcoil and it gets better allround.
If would go for a PVP levelling class, I would pick shadowpriest. It is very strong in every encounter. Strongest dots ingame, instant fear, instant shields. Channeled facemelting that also snares.
They also remained best allround duelling class in 2006, when everyone is geared up the very nature of SP is so very strong in duels, due its mostly instant or very short casttime pvp tools.
Yeah like I said, shamans can be pretty rough but you can usually just run over them with instants in a 1v1.
Classic answer for Classic WoW.
Whatever you enjoy playing, seriously, when WoW launched I tried all classes and went with Rogue because I liked it, later I mained a Druid that I have to this day (though stoped playing when the level cap was 90, is lvl 89 I believe, returned for classic) and it was ten times as fun as a rogue so I kept playing on the class.
