BfA flying question

Just a quick question. Would be great if someone can answer it fast.
I have pathfinder part 1 completed on my druid. In 8.2 im thinking of playing my shaman so i will grind the rep needed for pathfinder part 2 with him. If i get pathfinder part 2 with my shaman and i have part 1 with my druid will i be able to get flying or no?

You’ll be able to get flying, the achievements are account-wide.

But it looks like that this achievement is only unlocked for one faction? I mean if you unlock flying as Horde, you don’t get flying as Alliance as well, right?

That seems highly unlikely, both because it wasn’t the case for the Legion and WoD ones and because it wouldn’t make a whole lot of sense. There’s also only one achievement listed in the PTR data (achievement #13250).

The Pathfinder Part 2 achievement adds 2x2 criteria (in addition to requiring the Part 1 achievement):

  • Fully exploring the 2 zones
  • Reaching Revered with 2 new Factions

That last one may be the confusing part, as there are really 3 new Factions. 1 Alliance-only, 1 Horde-only, 1 Shared. Because of that, the achievement will list different objectives when you’re looking at it on an Alliance character, as opposed to on a Horde character.

But once you unlock Pathfinder by doing 2 new reputations on either your Alliance or Horde character, you’ll receive the exact same account wide achievement (which then grants flying on both sides).

its like before in wod/legion - if you get flying on a faction you can now fly accountwide on any toon of ANY faction

Oh, nice to hear that  I’ve just noticed that Alliance need to get revered with different factions then Horde to unlock flying and that confused me …
