Big, Exploit or Feature: multiple enslaved demons [Classic Era]

Can anybody tell me if the below is a known bug, feature or exploit? I have also logged a bug report.

Be a lvl 60ish warlock and go to the Satyr camp in north Felwood. Enslave a Satyr, perhaps a Hellcaller. Attack a Trickster but don’t kill it, maybe drain life for a bit. The Trickster will Mind Control you and reset while your pet attacks you. You now have a pet but no pet bar. The per will be either aggressive/defensive/passive, based on its previous status. Enslave another Hellcaller. Now you have two pets and a pet bar. Set your pets to aggressive. Kill everything.

Bug, exploit or feature?

p.s. I’m not sure if you can repeat this to have 3 or more pets.

EDIT: a 2020 forum post describes the same thing. Looks like this was a thing 5 years ago, so certainly not a new bug/feature

There’s also a 2007 comment on wowhead where the Trickster reset (not the pet part) is mentioned and the poster says a Game Master told them they were “aware of the problem”. Since 2007 was original vanilla wow, not classic, I’m inclined to think that in Classic this is a feature, not a bug/exploit. Interested to hear from others though, and ideally get confirmation from Blizz that it’s not an exploit.

This is definately an exploit.
However, reading the customer forums Blizzard are not in a hurry fixing bugs … there are plenty of years old bugs still being asked for a status.

It is obvious exploit, but until someone would invade major city with his army of demons or parse 2% above maximum, it won’t be fixed.

I think you’d struggle to get more than maybe 10 at once, and would really struggle to get far out of Felwood since the enslave doesn’t last that long, and they don’t come with you when you are summoned or portaled etc.

Probably the only use would be more effective felcloth farming, but at some point it becomes less effective because you’ve enslaved all the demons you need to kill.
