Biggest reason why players leave the game is

Botting, blatantly cheating. You have a big big problem ahead of you. Start sweeping, if you give me social contract and i have to accept the terms why players who abuse the system are getting without punishment? This ruins the fun to play this game.

Why to fight against bots when blizzard needs $ instead real players ? Whats difference btw bot and player ? Both need spent $ to play…

This is not even close to the biggest reason

You will meet botters like once every what? 50 games? 100 games? more?

And about 70% of the time someone thinks someone is botting, they aren’t. Do you know how to determine if someone is botting (asking you personally)

Cancelled my sub and don’t play because of RDruids and DHs. But given a second thought, actually, not because of them. It’s not RDruid/DH main’s fault their spec is crazy. Left because of this game’s pathetic disgrace community mass rerolling and spamming FOTM specs. It takes like 30 IQ to understand that you don’t poo where you eat (don’t abuse and create toxic atmosphere where you play and have fun), but apparently these “People” have even less than that. :frowning:

I even cba to get to these forums daily, feels even kinda bad to be honest :frowning:
It’s sad, bcs I genuinly love this game and my disc. But playing it feels like a torture.

Yes i do, bots tend to follow certain patterns on the code. As they are programmed to follow commands and therefore human eye can track these patterns. Most of the patterns that are recognizable are movement patterns or repeated skill usage patterns. As player patterns are totally randomized in a game, bot patterns are unnaturally repeating itself. These patterns may include commands of abilities and skills used that are being sent to a bot to control it’s behaviour in game. Programs such as Chat GPT has increased the accessibility without proper knowledge of coding into wider audience to send commands in an easy way and there are other models as well that are easing the accessibility of coding to users.

Do i see this as a problem? Yes, i do absolutely as game studios are pulling their hair out of their heads prob even now as hacking or botting isn’t new but now with the tools we have today, the popularity into coding has also increased. Abusing a code is on the TOS and players may not know that when you are using this code as playing the game or streaming new exciting technology, they may face a lawsuit as game codes are heavily copyrighted. Hackers or botters who are using the code may not have read small printed text on TOS that states: You have purchased a license of a game. Generally majority doesn’t even know what licensed copy of a game means for a user.

I wanted to write a better insightful response for you as you do respond to questions here in forums in much wider understanding.

Is not how often you match bots
Its about the question you ask yourself if this time you just loose because you face a bot or not and every time you ask yourself its the game fault for not banning all cheater Asap
GAme have no integrity left, i mean
Every player higher then me just got there raiting while abusing cheats or a broken specc like DH or is boosted
Or everythink combined
every one below me poor trash Kappa

I was playing Pubg in my wow break too test new stuff and in this game if you report a player you actual get ingame message that the player xyz… have been banned for cheats and for 4 player i was 100%sure they cheat one of the 4 was, so 3 that where just good lucky or skilled

Well the game has become annoying for 1 good reason: Players asked that they get faster progression and even this is MMORPG developers agreed. Gearing a character is faster than it has been in the history of + 10 years of the game. Accessibility is creating huge problems as well into the ladder and also into the casual gaming experience in pvp. Gearing in my opinion shouldn’t be this fast as your character in MMORPG experience should be a choice but we have mixture of players playing the game from different game genre’s ( FPS, RTS, STRATEGY, SURVIVAL, ARPG, MOBA ) and the latter 2 of them won’t agree with me.

I don’t agree that easy gearing is a problem.
Problems are
The massive CC chains
The massive Damage spikes (one mistake and you are dead)
The complexity of the game - here is where bots have a big advantage over humans
The amount of addons you have to use.
Progression being very sweaty is another big one.

Why wouldn’t you? Gearing a character takes less time and players can create a new alt and buy a character boost. In a sense experience seems to move on it’s weight.

  • Nerfs to classes

  • Buff to classes

  • ------> Classes that are buffed, popularity to play those classes shifted upwards because initial buffs

  • <------ Classes that are being nerfed, popularity to play these classes reduced greatly.

  • Faster gearing progression creates repeating atmosphere and btw this also draws programmers much closer to the game as they profit from player frustration.

More like bad class balance, as a frost dk i have not a good time in arena.

This.

I never said bots aren’t a problem

But they aren’t the biggest reason players leave PvP

If you want a ranking on why players leave PvP

  1. Lack of “easy” rewards which most people believe they should get easily because they pay for the game + some rewards outright being bad some seasons (such as ugly elite sets, but that hasn’t been the case for most classes this expansion)
  2. Class balance
  3. The time it takes to learn how to be good and how other specs work, how yours does, and what to do in countless situations in order to win
  4. Lack of inflation during early to mid seasons
  5. Outdated LFG system
  6. Toxic inflated ego community (although this is a problem in almost every Player versus Player game online). This also includes players who think they are better than they actually are and never look at their own mistakes
  7. Long Shuffle queue times
  8. Lack of built-in addons / weakauras which are borderline mandatory for PvP, especially arena these days
  9. Lack of a feedback system that receives responses by developers
  10. Boosting
  11. Botters
  12. PvE-related systems influencing PvP
  13. Artificial Conquest cap at the start of every season
  14. Artificial delaying of Conquest boxes until late / end season
  15. Random disconnects in the game which are 100% not from the player’s end. This also includes using mobility spells that DC you, not sure if Mind control can still do it, but 100% can confirm things like pressing roll, chi torpedo, fel rush, rescue, disengage can disconnect you on some maps

Feel free to add more, but I think anything more would be some more personal issue that isn’t something a developer could fix, although I could have missed something

you guys asked for cc nerfing
you guys asked for healer buffs (infinite def cds, infinite healing), but pressing with 5 seconds delay every global still doesnt help to keep teammates alive in soloshuffle

in the evening in lfg i see 2.8kxp 1900cr lf team lmao, and it is the highest cr team

the game was more enjoyable and had more participation when blind was 8 seconds, poly was 8 seconds, dragon breath was 5 seconds with 25 sec cd

oh devs shouldnt listen to multirival healers and should balance game around only top players? oh nah let’s listen to soloshuffle healer who struggle to press def cd when burst cd is used

They will never give their back to their kill target, and the way they are moving makes the botting pretty obvious

They use trinket in a micro second

They meld at the most unhumanly possible moments

They always use defensives no matter what happens at X% hp

They have ridiculus damage and it’s constant

there are still big issue with rule breakers. The notorious and famous boosters in rated bg are dropping mmr by giving up fights to random teams are not getting permabanned and continue to ruin the game. Everyone from rbg knows who iam talking about and everyone is sick tired of reporting them. This is a big issue since these boosters are 2.5 exp players but playing at 1700-2k mmr due to mmr drop

Class design and power creep, rather. As I said earlier, some specs have an answer to everything. 5 gap closers, stuns, damage reductions, immunities, very high and unpredictable/spiky damage, high self healing, tankiness, easy “get out of jail free cards” when things go awry, on top of 10 damage modifiers. These specs don’t have a weakness, and sometimes you need to “kill” them 3 times to kill them.

Class balance feels “off” because a lot of specs are overpowered at the moment, with havoc as the most prominent outlier.

edit Ditch all double charge abilities; double charge, double bladestorm, double blink, double vanish, double grip… anything that has two charges. It’s just toxic having to counter the same ability twice, and, when you fail the first time, you shouldn’t get a second chance.

Perhaps with the exception of double roll.

0 balance in pvp, telling people to press cd’s u get banned for being toxic meanwhile bots in solo shuffle play for months without getting banned having countless reports and evidence every single platform

it will reach a point where its " cant beat them… join them "

im not implying i will … but i’m stating facts

it’s already at this point actually, as venruki said all u need to have a keyboard and a face to play dh

but honestly, everyone who is playing “good” now is a bot. It reminds me of a CS, u do 3 Headshots in a row and ur a cheater. I had some crazy rounds yesterday in 3s and got called out 2 times. It’s bitter sour.
