Biggest wish before 10.2

So DF seems to have a whole host of mixed feelings and reviews from people.
Some love it, some hate it, some are impartial.

But im wondering, what is your biggest wish for the game for before 10.2 ? For example make the crests account wide, or renown rep account wide.

For me personally, a profession catch up system, and more in particular a knowledge point catch up system.

My other toon is currently at 77/100 leather working with just 108 KP’s, but I know others are at over 280 or 300 at this point.

I am either clueless as to where to get all these points from, or have no hope of ever catching up, unless there is some kind of catch up system. As it stands I need to carefully decide where to invest these points and take a gamble on what I pick still being relevant in 10.2 (which if I cap out my 3 avenues a week would net me just a further 72-81 points, assuming 10.2 is launched around the time of blizzcon).

This is off course for a profession I have already a little investment in, other characters with dead professions (gathering) would be even further behind.

So that would be my wish. What’s yours ?

Normal flying so i can start exploring the world.

I can’t believe I’m still slogging through weekly quests for knowledge this late in the expansion. I maxed everything back in May.

I have very few of those capped in knowledge points.

Some professions like Blacksmithing require an insane number of points.

Scrap the knowledge points in the crafting system and make it only about skill level.

Whats that puny ? 100/100 in a prof or ?

For me the angle of wanting a catchup is 2 fold. 1 to be able to somewhat compete or try and make a tiny bit of gold in the market before the xpac is out so I dont bleed totally dry and the other is to be able to cater to my own toons.
Take me, I have Leather, Mail and bow users. So for leatherworking to be able to cater to all of them I need (bare minimum 325 knowledge points, to be perfect 625 knowledge points) Its bonkers how much I need, unless I go off and make like 4 leatherworkers.

That’s maxing the profession which isn’t anywhere near done when you consider all the points required.

For example this is my maxed JC

However when it comes to knowledge I’m still not done

Dampening capped at 30% or 40% in solo shuffle.

Right now it keeps increasing, which means games eventually turn in 2v2 because both healers are useless.
Since healers are useless, victory isn’t decided by how well they play, and this leads to a lot of 3-3 encounters.

The consequence is that there are next to no healers in the top 100, it’s much harder to climb as one. So. nobody is healing, and queue times are too long as a result.

Ah, yeah.

This is what I would be looking at for a single Leatherworker to cater my mail, leather and bow users.

LW is like BS far too many points required. I’m far behind on both of those too.

I think I’ve only managed to cap Enchanting and Tailoring so far.

And there are no achievements for doing so, which seems silly considering it’s far more time consuming that capping the profession itself.

I can see this. Although I have to be 100%, I do like dragon riding and am able to keep my self in the air indefinitely, the only difference is I have to be at my pc, which im ok with.

Ha ha, You wouldn’t see me complaining

I cannot comment on this as I have not done it. Perhaps I should try in my pvp gear :stuck_out_tongue:
But yeah I can see how it would suck a role to be entirely excluded beyond a point. Although when your talking top 100 in the world… with how many players this game has. Id say to get close tot hat is still an achievement in itself.

PL in LFR.

More and longer character progression options for world content.
I don’t want world content to be obsolete after just a few weeks.

knowledge profession system will stay as it pushes the gold sales (tokens) from blizzard.

People still have to pay often 5-10k gold for a maxed 447 craft and early in season people even pay 50k etc. which is a big driver in token sales for sure.

if there was a catch up, the work order systems and crafting for others would be completely dead (now it is only 90% dead).
Everyone would easily max every profession and craft their own stuff which would reduce the gold sink.
Yes some players of course get a ton of gold but i am very sure blizzard profits more from 49 players with 0 gold and 1 player with 5 billion gold than 50 players with 10 million gold

next season there will be new mats required that drives the prices for crafting to insanity again like it was dracothyst this season or that shadowflame trash

Crests account-wide and give all tank specs BL/Heroism so it’s easier to pick and choose from dps for M+.

make those stupid shadowflame residue sacks stack to 1000 please, i got like 200 stacks in my bank, cba deleting them it takes too long xd
also nerf mage mobility, sub rogue escapes aaaaaand delete aug evoker from pvp.

Removal of all mog limits - that will always be my biggest wish

Some sort of profession knowledge catch up for sure. There is no point in an alt that hits 70 today bothering with professions at all, it can’t be relevant in any sensible timeframe.

Honestly, you should just be able to go to the profession NPC and pick up as many +3 skill quests as have ever been issued since day 1. If I choose to spend an entire day doing nothing but round trips for them and gain 120 KP from it, that is at least a choice I get to make.

Current profession KP is a hangover from the FOMO times of Shadowlands. Rest of DF doesn’t do this to you.

Either that, or the skill trees should have been so deep it would take a full 2 years to max them - and we should get a monthly option to reset, such that if we do pick poorly, it’s not a catastrophe forever.

But actually, more paladin races :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:
