The flickering in all the Shadowlands zones were driving me insane. It stoped after doing this.
Edit: each time I restart the game I have to flip the settings again, but it does fixt it each time I launch the game.

Anyone notice shadow flicker in spire of ascension dungeon?its on the last boss.Wierdly enough if you look at it in a different camera angle it doesn’t flicker but it flickers if you look from an another angle.
Makes no sense why this setting should fix an issue such as flickering,Most ppl here have 1 gpu and unless they have their monitor cable connected to the motherboard then this tweak shouldn’t actually do anything.
Something is off with the settings I think.
Im still getting issues with mobs flickering black? Noticeable on the last boss in Tirna sithe

Hey! Started to happen to me, only in WoW tho. Got 460.97 drivers with a RTX 3080. Never happened to me before, had a 1070 before this one and a laptop with a 2060. Were you able to fix it guys?
I have found a working solution to this.Change your windows update to insider at release preview level this will then install an update which is only a small update but all my texture flickering has gone.To clarify im still using the latest nvidia drivers also.Try this might fix for you as well.
the solution for me was to change the displaymode and window size to: Fullscreen(windowed) and Default.

I have my settings set like that always, flickering is still going on. @draxorrne, can you clarify on which update was it?
not sure the name but if you switch insider program on in windows then choose the release preview channel.
Turning the shadows to “low” quality helped me with the flickering. Didn’t completely remove it, but it happens a lot less.
Do not install the latest 461.09 drivers. Nvidia did not fixed flickering. So, best solution is to stay with 457.51.
Nvidia actully made it worse. Alt+Tab is broken in Shadowlands and Classic. When I tab out from the game to desktop all seems bit laggy and not loading immediately. Rolled back to 457.51 and all is fine again.
The problem is, 461.09 is fixing security issues, which may mean that people will need the driver installed. I’m hoping that this will spur Blizzard and Nvidia to actually do something about this problem, because it’s been going on for way too long.
Also, I think 461.09 has made the problem worse. Putting shadows on low no longer fixes (or at least reduces) it for me, I have to disable particles now, at least in Ardenweald. At this rate I’ll be playing the entire game on low.
461.09 is now causing G-sync to flicker with dx12 as soon as you open any window inside wow (inventory,character etc)… first the flicker in Ardenweald/bastion and now this… Dx11 fixes the issue but Nvidia’s drives going backwards and keeps getting worse and worse…
EDIT: Got tired of this s*** so went back to 457.51 and everything is normal now.

Wierdly I’m on 457.51 I sometimes notice small fast flickering faded black squares on the map (whole shadowlands map) in oribos.

They pop up randomly on the shadowlands map only while I’m on oribos. (sometimes even outside of oribos)
I managed to cause the issue by having the shadowlands map open while using the teleporter to go to the 2nd floor in oribos.
ISSUE FIXED:I was using RTSS frame limiter which was the cause (yea I know wtf) Started using Nvidia frame limiter and the issue is gone.

Thats in the nvidia driver patch notes for the latest drivers.

For me latest drivers that works good are 461.09 from early january 461.40 started flickering and stuttering for me
