My friend just looted a Black Lotus on a dreamfoil
So it took Blizzard 6years to come up with this solution and just implement the system we had on retail TBC? Where lotus had a chance to drop from 6 high level plants.

Haha yeah, and they even expanded it further in later patches to 9 or 10 I believe. But yeah I can also confirm that this is true, I saw 2 printscreens in a discord channel where they had picked it from Dreamfoil aswell.
But Why there is no blue post yet about fix? Can it be desinformation to momentarily drop lotuses price for some people to mass buy them?

Its 2025, Blizzard have no humans working on the forums. The price of Black Lotus are already down to 170-200g on Spineshatter Horde. (Edit) I just logged on and Black Lotus market is down to 100g.

Black Lotus can now occasionally be found when gathering Gromsblood, Golden Sansam, Dreamfoil, Mountain Silversage, Plaguebloom, or Icecap with 300 Herbalism skill.

This won’t change flasks price much. It will just be redistributed to other herbs. Main problem was layer shut down at night making layers perma prime-time - blizzard didnt solve this problem. With less black lotus price, and more demand for flasks, it will just create deficit for other herbs.
You can farm all of the herbs for flasks inside Dire Maul East. It was already a viable gold farming method for priests and rogues, even more so now for any class really. Mages can even get more out of it now, they can kite Whiplashers that also drops herbs but if they have 300 herb they now also have chance for Black Lotus in DME. This gold farming method will be more popular now.
