'Black' & 'White' cannot be used in Guild names

Me and few of my friends wished to create a roleplay guild with the word “White” in it, but could not even type it into the guild charter, as the word is deemed mature language.
I find this type of censoring ridiculous, as it limits people’s creativity when it comes to creating guild names (silly in our case, but still). Colours are supposed to be completely neutral, their meaning only really changing when you add something to it, but in our case, it is literally just referring to an animal’s fur colour.
The rest of the community should NOT suffer due to some people’s stupidity, especially considering we can simply report offensive guild names (since blatant racism is against the tos anyway).

I may have missed something important, but I am just a little upset. Even a GM told me to come here to see what the playerbase thinks about it.

EDIT: It turns out the word “Yellow” is censored too.

It’s an American created game where racism is still very much a thing and so are very sensitive to these things.
However to censor colours is a tad silly.

Yeah that’s pretty pathetic. You could generate some pretty cool names with that; Black Templars, White Eagles, etc

We shouldn’t, but we do. Because people are awful. You already know this.

Then the rest of us should push these awful people down. I am rather tired of having to abide by someone’s rules only because someone else was an idiot. It is the equivalent of the whole class being punished by the teacher because one or two people were interrupting the lesson.

Then what do you suggest?
Because if i was a multinational company I know what I’d do to prevent it.

There was a similar thread about 6 weeks ago. Rather than type a reply you can read the feedback (including mine) in the thread below.

Americans are to dumb to even consider talking a different language. Hint hint hint

You are talking about the company that deems :ok_hand: a sign of racism after all !

No really. It is stupid yes.

For a company with such ridiculous censoring policies, I’m surprised 卐 isn’t censored.

I’m getting banned for this comment, aren’t I?

I hope not - its a Hindu symbol for good luck and prosperity. We cant be held accountable for a sticky-fingered, very angry little German man

Wait, isn’t it a Buddhist symbol?

A few cultures I think - I only know of the Hindu meaning

I have seen it on Buddha, so yeah it is quite simple symbol, it is possible to be used by many cultures.

Yeah but the Okay-hand is also just the okay-hand for most people and look.

Its to prevent all those edgy names like black knights and stuff, go be kids somewhere else and name your guild gnome stole my bike or something …

I just tried to create a character called “black” and it said the mature language thing yet it allowed me to make a character called “blackhater”.

By this I assume using it as a single word is not ok but combining it with other words is fine.

Please understand, this was for testing only, I would never log in with or play the character, I deleted it straight after.

I just tested it by buying a guild charter, “Black hater” is not allowed but “Blackhater” is allowed. I deleted the charter afterwards.

No guild called “White Supremacy” allowed but “WhiteSupremacy” is, again I deleted it.

In pokemon black and white they banned pokemon with censored words in their names incase someone nicknamed them something offensive.
The pokemon named by nintendo as cofagrigus was therefor not able to be traded as it was called cofagrigus and so triggered the censors.
They are probs trying to avoid that.

You can have Beige rat… Or Albino… Ivory…Pallid, and some others, be creative !
