I cant use the word BLACK or WHITE in my guild name?

I knew Dice had this stupid restriction in Battlefield 5 because of radical social justice concerns. Censoring people out of fears of wide-spread racism, unfounded in reality. But in WoW?..

I’d like to make a guild called – The Black Barons. Or The Black Guard of Doom. Black Death Spreaders!-- Okay Im making stuff up now but you get the point!

NONE…of these are racist. The word BLACK…is not racist. Nor is white. So stop banning it as if it was. It’s infuriating, developers. I dont know how long this has been this way either because I didn’t think Blizzard would do this.

Of all my time playing WoW I’ve never once had any real racist incidents or concerns. Far too busy killing people and doing PVE. As are most people I’d reckon. And even if there was a guild name which included a derogatory combination including the word Black… then we have a report option for that.

So I ask you, Blizzard. Please remove this restriction. Give me my black barons.

Give me my edgelord names because its fun.

And honestly… dont censor us. Many of us are grown adults that know perfectly well whats right from wrong. And once again… to those of us who aren’t aware of this and spew racist insults at eachother, there’s a report option for that.

Please LIFT this restriction. And stop censoring words because of radical social justice.

EDIT: So I just tried RED barons… and it went through without issue. But using the other 2 I get “mature word” warning. -_-…

Sadly it’s probably due to people abusing it in the past.

They have to keep the game PG so I doubt they’ll change it because of the few ruining it for the many.

No, I kid. There’s probably a reason why Black and White isn’t allowed, and it shouldn’t really come as a surprise.

Try something else that is a reference to it?

Like… ‘‘The Onyx Barons’’, or something that doesnt sound like crap (like my example :slight_smile: )

Blizz is pc, you can’t avoid such things. Just like how you cant post on the forum if you post bad words…

Even on the forum i found some non offensive words that somehow still got cencored

Really? Words black and white are banned? Why are Americans so obsessed with racism, they preach race equality but keep segreating races, like “Trump got this many votes from black folks, this many from white folks”, unbelievable, they don’t see their own racism.

Possibly but itll look weird. German S = ß looking like a B works too but its just damn ridiculous that we are getting censored like this.

It just makes me wonder what else race based words are banned too although going to find out may just make me sad.
