Blackhand's Breadth trinket in classic era not getting it

Okay I wanted to get the ‘Blackhand’s Breadth’ trinket you know with 2% critical strike chance, with my rogue.

Well I completed the quest ‘General Drakkisath’s Demise’ you know got the letter then had to go to UBRS and kill him, I got attuned to BWL and the quest only rewarded me 3 gold and none of the loot he dropped was that ‘Blackhand’s Breadth’ trinket.

What went wrong? How come there was no drop, or quest reward for it? Is there more to the quest because there isn’t anything online saying it.

This is what wowhead says;
" To complete General Drakkisath’s Demise, players must slay General Drakkisath, the final boss of Upper Blackrock Spire. Completing General Drakkisath’s Demise awards players with their choice of Blackhand’s Breadth."

I’ve done the quest now, so I guess I can’t get it anymore. What went wrong?

The quest should have given you a reward choice of three items.

Assuming you’re Alliance, type the following line in game chat:

/run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(5102))

If it prints true then you completed that quest. If it prints false then you did not complete that quest.
