So far nothing has really gripped me like Stormsong Valley and Ardenweald themes. It all sounds very similar and blends together.
personally, I’m quite enjoying it.
It’s nice and chilled and not really intrusive.
Tastes differ I supose
I’m loving it
If I ask you to hum one of the songs from Dragonflight right now can you do it from memory? That’s what I mean. I can still hum the Stormsong Valley theme years later.
Most of them are earworms, so yeah
Not all since only done the first two zones, azure is next, but so far, probably yes
Can’t even remember Stormsong Valley music tho’, but Dazar’alor? Or vol’dun? Burnt in to my brain
Thats why I said, it depends on taste
I don’t think it is. I really like the Maruukai camp music for example.
The music that plays when you are doing races with dragon riding is already burnt in my ears and i liked the music overall, especially in Azure Span,it’s chill
I wouldn’t say it’s bland, but I know what you mean. BfA music certainly had more character to it. It’s still great as always however.
Me too.
I noticed the music not long after getting off the boat, there was a pipe playing that reminded me of MOP music. Then later therre some some music that reminded me of Grizzly Hills. Sure they’re drawing on some of their past glory but that’s fine.
I’m not far into DF, flying tutorials slowing me down, should be past that soon and then I’ll get on with exploring the zones and am looking forward to hearing more.
I barely noticed the music in SL at all. I don’t remember the Ardenweld music.
First thing I do in any game is turn music off, music has always ruined immersion for me.
Take Skyrim for example, going on an epic fantasy era adventure before the invention of headphones, wheres the music coming from?
The only time it doesn’t break immersion is in games like GTA or cyberpunk where you have it set so it only plays from sound sources like radios etc.
Not heard wow music many expansions might have to turn it on tonight see what it’s like, doubt I’ll keep it on though.
How would you know if you’re banned - https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/en/wow/t/theres-nothing-to-do-in-df/406784/23
I should have known it would have been on YouTube however I suspect that the OPer may not be being that honest in one of the topics.
but on that note… I cannot… and I mean I cannot take out of my head the main intro song! it is still right now stuck in my head.
I love when the music opens up around minute 2:00, it makes me wanting to login and swoop my dragon around
Interesting exception in the Uldaman end boss encounter.
Maybe it is the contrast built.
Keyword immersion, there was just an exciting video about Star Citizen where someone edited gameplay to make it sound like the eventually intended removal option of artificial sound sim in space, with the best natural sound design seen in a long time. Check YT for “The Tail Gunner”. (And of course, for immersion, gotta watch the whole thing intently for best experience, and people say it’s even better with headphones.)
havn’t played in 8754 years but it sounds fine … if you ask me personally
never been in the Azure Span either but if i had to guess id probably love the theme music there …
I explored first 2 zones and both zones music is top notch.
The music is great. I don’t think everything has to be a pompous theme. It’s atmospheric and more lowkey than usual which matches the vibe of the xpac. Well done imo.
You are wrong. The music is really good and fits the theme perfectly.
I agree with you OP. But I also thought the same about the music in SL.
Guess they let go off someone talented.
