French localization will probably suck too if it’s not done by native speakers.

Bobby needed a new private vila, understand this

It is a shame what they are doing, Actigreed is doing very well and putting 400 more people out of work as if they were going to go bankrupt.

Any guesses on what Bobby Kotick’s bonus will be this year? Maybe not, since the number will be past our imaginations…

So… who’s our moderators now?

**** me, this is awful! :frowning:

To every single one of you: You have my full support and consideration, for whatever that’s worth. I hope you all find a great place to work! I don’t doubt any of you can.

I might know a few employers around Denmark, fwiw. Send me a message in-game if you wanna hear more.

Whatever his bonus is, he should receive 1$ per day out of it, capped to a total maximum of 10$ until he spends some of it.

This is sad news indeed.

Well his bonus needs to be increased as a reward for saving them all this money from laying off employees in a messed up time like this. /sarcasm

That’s the worst part to me. At least wait a little? It’s not like you’re short on cash.

Darn ***holes at ActiBlizz. First the racism and now this. Starting to get real upset now. There you go Blizz, you finally triggered me!

I wonder if this could be an direct impatc to Eu:s new laws against how to handle peoples personal information, where the new law states, no company can distribute any information of any Eu citizen at all.
kind of same thing where facebook and instagram is angry about.

Not to mention employee protections are very strong in France as well.

(Not really, it’s terrible, but yeah Blizz are not gonna have a fun time with this one)

I’m just going to say this again and again and again. Activision is destroying Blizzard like Warner destroyed Atari. That’s what happens when the suits take over game development companies.

They have NO idea what makes developers enjoy their work. Developers need loose schedules and a relaxed working atmosphere. That’s when great games are created and creativity thrives.

It’s a matter of time before the last bit of fun in WoW has been taken out. God knows - they are doing what they can.

This is literally what Mike Morhaime was trying to say.

I miss him so much. :frowning:

We’ll still have him, obviously, but … I want him+Warcraft! D:

Hopefully, one day in the distant future, Dreamhaven will own the Warcraft IP or something just as good. And you good Blizz developers in there? Time to jump ship. I mean it!

I can potentially see many players exiting from Blizzard when they finally release some games.

GMs used to work 24/7 answering tickets. I don’t know if that’s still the case. I think most of them are in Ireland though I would imagine the French GMs at least were in Versailles.

Not that under vivendi it was all perfect… but it really showed they had a strong presence in Europe. That studio is now gone… I can only see things get even worse for us.

Sorry to everyone losing their job. Especially in times like these. But hey ho murican capitalism ey.
