Blizzard dev's don't understand the purpose of the Crafting system in a RPG game

The OP is talking about making ALL gear crafted please keep up with the flow

I’ll pass on that.

Can you give me like ten examples of this?

People are talking about trash celebrities constantly also. Doesn’t make them more valuable for your daily life though.

Guild Wars 2. You can always craft the best items available but you don’t have to.

SWG would like to have a word with you.

Then it better find a necromancer or a medium to talk to me since its dead :smirk:

It didnt die because of a crafting system which was way better. And you didnt look the same as anyone because you could apply dyes to any outfit you do want to get crafted.

Oh, And you actually had a player vendor system.

It died because of a combat update.

And FFXIV would also like a word with you.

I’m a little confused, you want gear to stop dropping in content so it’s crafted items only? Or did you mean something else?

Who says crafting should case to exist? XD Do you even read?

Most items drop gone, and being replaced with crafting materials
unless you want to write a biology paper on how wolf butt is capable of containing a two-handed great sword, a pair of boots, and a spiky helmet

** It’s ok to occasionally have a boss which has a chest which holds some very rare “full” item.

People should stand in line to a good crafter, and crafters should be a cornerstone of a gearing process in a good RPG game, but instead WoW crafters are crying in the corner because the vast majority of their items are literally useless, and doesn’t have any value. Quests around a random corner throw at the player pretty much a purple N raid level gear. Like seriously, WTH is this nonsense to get 400+ item from a dumb 10 min quest?!

In that case, no thank you.

Seems like an awful idea.

“Looking for” is the operative word. They must have invested heavily (real cash?) and are trying to claw back their gold.

Crafting should just be another parallel route to gear, some player hate crafting, some hate m+, some hate raiding, and some hate PvP, some hate questing. So if all are parallel then players can pick the ones they enjoy to play from a gearing perspective.

They’re on sale! Now with 10% extra melodrama!

That does not even happen and is an out right lie.

Considering the fact that you fail to even explain your opinion, I don’t think you are even capable of recognizing a good idea, especially when the other idea is a terrible design which fundamentally undermines the existence of RPG mechanics, making them obsolete. All of that for the sake of catering to people addicted to instant gratification.

Why do you have to be rude, and attack someone personally?

Ohn’ahran Falconer’s Bracers ilvl 402 from weekly chest.
HC Raid item level for “autoplay” gameplay. (NOT) great game design.
Deal with it :person_shrugging:

It’s not Twitter.
Just because you subjectively don’t like the answer, it doesn’t mean it’s an attack.

If a person engages into a discussion regarding a given topic, and attempts to make a version of “judicial opinion” on a given topic/idea without giving any form of explanation, then it’s vital to point out, that the person might not understand the subject, and that his/her opinion might be invalid.
