Blizzard fixes ZG enchant trading but not Diamond Flask HP5 scaling

Blizzard has made it official that they have no plans to change the interaction between Diamond Flask HP5 and +healing, as the functionality mirrors that of the reference client.
Mere days earlier Blizzard went out of their way to make custom changes to the ZG enchants to prevent them from working on classes who cannot take the quest, in spite of this functionality also mirroring that of the reference client.

How do ya’ll feel about this?

What some warriors do with Diamond Flask can be called an “exploit” indeed. I would call it so. But guess for Blizz it’s more like “clever usage of game mechanics”.

Did they ever bluepost about it though?

I think you are going at it wrong. It’s two unrelated things and should be discussed separately and not used as an argument for or against the other.

They should not change things that are working as it did in 1.12.1 unless it’s abused in a new game breaking way and clearly an exploit. That’s my opinion.

The enchants is a big deal no matter if it’s authentic or not. Clearly abusing a bug with using tricks that are obviously not intended and have a big impact.

The flask thing is just a mechanic that is weird. You don’t abuse a bug for that, at least not in the same obvious exploit tricky way like with the enchants.

All i get from this is that Blizzard clearly hates paladins with a passion. Rightly so ^^

This is stupid. Completely stupid.

Too bad it’s the only game around with no p2w shop, no anime girls with giant swords and not-completely-faceroll small group content.

It’ll be interesting to see if you feel the same way when Sapphiron dies in under 30 seconds to 40 warriors with 2k health regen.

I’m perfectly fine with diamond flask hp scaling in fact i’m kinda annoyed more things in the game are not like this. Back in Vanilla a lot of item procs and enchants like lifestealing scaled with spell power and were later nerfed including thunderfury. There are still some items in the game now that scale with spell power and healing done such as demon forged breastplate.

I didn’t share my feelings. I shared a fact of reality.

But I understand what you are saying and any bug/exploit that is being abused in a new game breaking way should be fixed in Classic, that’s my opinion and feeling. I dunno if I would see 40 warriors killing Sapphiron specifically as an game breaking though. What would that even accomplish?

Why would the healing from the flask make Sapphiron die in 30 seconds?

I hope they don’t fix diamond flask trick as it helps me a lot farming gold especially if I’m running a dungeon.

The issue regarding enchants got fixed because classes got enchants designed to a different class. While diamond flask is only used by warriors and only obtainable to warriors. Yes its OP, but so are mages, locks, rogues, hunters, sp etc in general pvp. Might as well nerf them as well?
