I’m not going to bother with the “it’s necessary because”, I’ll just list all the problems:
-1.12 client = vastly easier content (nerfs, tons of class changes over the time, a completely different itemization)
-people’s current knowledge of the game
-people got way better in general
EVEN servers like Nostalrius completely retuned the encounters in order to make them at least, somewhat of a challenge for most guilds…and I don’t need to mention how much people loved this server.
I know I know…no changes and all…but I don’t think retuning a raid when we’re using the 1.12 patch should be called a change…it’s just something that needs to happen.
Upvote this and discuss if you agree guys, and if you don’t please also say so below
that’s basically the thing: 1.12 is not an authentic experience up until naxx is out, which is why the pserver community has been asking for raid encounters retuning since the classic wow announcement…but they were told to shut up, and now people are starting to see why it’s actually a good idea.
Maybe listening to the people who have been playing vanilla for years could be a good idea here and then right…
If they make it more difficult, than there will be basically zero chance to get in the raid if you´re not meta class. If it´s harder, only warrios and mages would get the spot. And I´m not sure if that´s a good thing. I guess they should balance the classes first and then make the content more difficult. Not gonna happen, I know…
I agree with that. I would actually love to see HC realms with the whole content tuned up. So you can´t really AOE dungeons. You can´t do the dungeon at much lower level than recommended. So you have to cc. And you really appreciate every upgrade i.e. you actually have to use professions as every little enchant or armor kit counts. Oh I would kill for such a realm…
But Classic is working like every other private server. Class, talents and etc are on latest patch ( 1.12 for vanilla ) and raids are pre-nerf BUT private servers buffed even pre-nerf versions to make it harder. I remember on Wotlk priv server that they buffed raids for like 200%.
Original Patch ( for example) had 12 mil hp on 25 man, but on that priv server it had 22 mil+ ( and it was still a faceroll).
They had to buff pre-nerf raids to make them harder for today standard.
This is whats making MC a faceroll… but just accept that Vanilla wasnt as hard as ppl remember it , if the game “was hard” then private servers had no reason to buff raids so much
Can you give me correct info how much nerf had impact? What was nerfed in 1.12 about MC and other raids? Any official info like some vanilla patch history
Obviously, but I don’t really care about MC: it’s the “low diff” raid of vanilla, BWL is supposed to be significantly more challenging…although it’s not very difficult either for sure.
It is true that vanilla never was difficult…if you’re in 2019. Back then, it was a different story.
I’m obviously not asking for something that would make the raids super hard, but at least not faceroll, that’s it.
True, 1.12 is not authentic, but let’s not pretend that’s why MC was done so quickly, it was done that fast, by mostly non 60’s, because it’s easy, regardless of patch.
its not faceroll. If you can get 39 other players as skilled, dedicated etc then you’ve done alot of work already. Even more work if you’ve become coordinated.
I don’t understand what this idea of it being easy is about, raiding is 40 man group content. It’s fun.
For now as someone who didn’t play vanilla nor ever played on illegal servers I’d like the authentic experience as it was, Classic isnt just for former illegal server users
Edit:
Also mind that a lot of the nostalrius users teamed up in classic and have been playing the game for 15 years and now some are demanding raids get made harder while those of us like me havent even seen it on the inside which is really a Dick move to regular players
