Blizzard mocks PvP players and calls them PvPPaul

What is this clownery? If you intend to make a joke, then stand behind it do not delete the tweet.

And if you intend to make a joke don’t make it when your game is at its content draught peak at the end of a patch, right before a new patch…

Blizz pls

It isn’t even the first time they mocked the pvp community. Just remember “shut up pvp guy” or “yeah, let me just get a wrench”.

I don’t know about those examples you mention but it is almost like they are trying to push away their playerbase systematically.

I can’t say I’m offended or anything like that, my skin is too thick to get offended by such trivial things but we know some people will get offended and this will be used to tell people “blizzard don’t care about pvp” propaganda, links will be shared for years.

This clown’s arguments are not valid anymore whoever he is idk. The Classes are getting balanced seperately for PvP and PvE. This video is from 2011-12 I suppose.

You guys are so lame for getting offended by a simple joke about PvP being a secondary aspect of the game.

It would be funny when it was just a joke, but haven’t you realized yet, that it wasn’t? That this is how the devs truly think? That PvP has a value of like max 5% in all their decisions?

Because… thats what % of the playerbase plays it?

We got so far this expansion:

  • Solo Queue
  • A new arena
  • A new type of WPvP quest
  • A WPvP only tier set
  • The usual new vicious mounts
  • A new type of glad drake
  • The usual new tabard, enchant
  • A full set of recolours for the tier gear that look better than most of the mythic ones
  • The gearing system we’ve asked for for years
  • Dozens of PvP specific balance changes

… for a part of the game like 10-20% max play.

And how many new dungeons/raids? How many quests for other content? How many other sets? Craftable, raids, dungeons, etc.? Tier sets designed around PvE. More pets in PvE, and so on.

All the achievements and art works for PvP are usually made by trainees, that will get upgraded a bit with a graphical KI and recolored a few times depending on the amount of seasons.

And guess about the PvP specific balance changes. They aren’t trying to balance, they are trying to swap meta to keep more people playing. They call it “to make it more interesting” but the truth it, they just care about the money! So the more the PvPers are leveling, the more happy they are.

So do me a favor and shut up, PvE guy!

Bro when you’re so desperate to say that PvP gets nothing that you start bringing up quests, as if anyone even does them, you know you’re lost in the sauce.

PvPers get a gladiator drake that has more detail than 99% of anything that comes from PvE. Mythic+ enjoyers get an ice rhino ground mount. Next season they get a fire rhino ground mount. Next they will get an earth one, then an air one.

…yeah? Do you wanna sit in deathmark / demon king meta for 6 months? I don’t. I’m glad they nerfed that and buffed shaman healers and gave arms ignore pain and so on.

I do more PvP than you + you don’t even play WoW, you’re lvl 69 on classic for months

Reading issue I guess. I said

No, but I also don’t want to sit in Arms/Ret meta for like month.

But what I actually want is a meta, that is so close to all other classes, that it doesn’t deserve the description “meta” anymore! I don’t care that much, if my class isn’t S tier, as long as it doesn’t get completely countered by another 2-3 specs and is in general so undertuned, that it isn’t useful enough to even play.

Shut up, non wow guy!

They stopped doing bi-monthly pvp balance fixes once they announced they were rebalancing crits + cc + tier sets + the pvp trinket bonus. It is absolutely pointless trying to change the meta right now when we don’t know what 10.1 looks like in the hands of the average player.

You’d know all this if you played wow, but you don’t, you tremble on a classic character while talking down to other people :+1:

They didn’t care

  • when they nerfed UDK to not being viable anymore while buffing other specs
  • when people told them beforehand that Arms shouldn’t get Ignore Pain back
  • that people told them that the Ret changes will make that spec incredible broken

So why should they care what might happen in the future when nerfing the meta now?

What I do know is a guy enjoying his filthy spec being S tier.

Unholy DK was literally living through everything - magic, physical, with ease, without a healer. Roleplaying as if this didn’t happen doesn’t get you anywhere. You likely don’t know this, because again, you don’t play wow.

Wrong - Arms was the squishiest spec in the game pre ignore pain / defensive stance changes. This was when everyone as playing fury. The thing they ignored was the fact that arms was doing great damage, it was just dying in 0.1 seconds to every demon king or deathmark or ele shaman or bm hunter or ww monk that looked at it. What they should have done is nerfed arms damage at the same time. Which they did very slightly, but tier + gear has pushed them into doing crazy damage regardless.

You would know this if you played wow, but you don’t.

And they responded to that within days by removing functionality from judgements of the pure, nerfing their fading light / justicars vengeance build, nerfing divine protection, SoV, nerfing flash heal and nerfing their damage a bit too.

It wasn’t enough, because turns out doing a rework mid expansion = terrible results. They barely had all of the changes into the game by the time it hit live, and some functionality didn’t even work until a week into the patch. They ran out of time.

You would know this if you played the game, but you don’t.

I play ret, resto shaman, ele shaman, assa, disc, unholy, destro, demo, BM, MM, survival, castweaver, boomkin and rdruid as well

What do you play? With yourself? Instead of WoW?

PvP is a literal afterthought.

if you get mad at the callout by WoW themselves, then idk man, that should speak volume.

I have to interfere here, please do not defend warrior without ignore pain. Did you play Warrior without it? I did.

We don’t know the exact numbers but PvP is valuable enough to mention in anniversary videos. Arena/BG/WorldPvP combined probably sees participation from half (50%) of playerbase more or less.

As I’ve said I’m not mad but there will be people who will be mad. It is normal and expected for some devs to dislike PvP, perhaps its playerbase, there is another recent example for instance, this woman Maria Hamilton probably doesn’t like it ;

The grill with white hair says “I would like to talk about PvP and that’s your favourite right?” to Maria Hamilton.

Maria Hamilton answers “Ou yea, Ou yea hehheh” then Morgan starts to talk about it after timeskip. This basically means Maria Hamilton dislikes it, doesn’t even want to talk about it and probably can’t… There is not such a rule like all devs ‘must’ like it. It is perfectly understandable in this case

but… mocking players via Twitter is not the same thing… There will be emotionally vulnerable players who will find this saddening, who knows perhaps some of them even cried upon seeing it…

“Mee? PvPPaul :anguished:

It brought them back from A tier to S tier for no reason! They want more defense? Only if they drop pressure in exchange.

Ignore Pain without a price haven’t only give them more defense, the plus in defense allows them to stay more offensively which results in more offensive pressure.

This isn’t what you’re asking for. You’re asking for them to remove/never have added ignore pain. You don’t know what you’re talking about. Warrior was trailer trash outside of deleting people in the opener as fury or with spear. If people lived that, you were dead within 45 seconds and no healer at the time could keep you up besides maybe resto druid.

Yeah, so what you actually want is damage nerfs - which is fine. No warrior thinks our damage is fine right now. We do absurd damage. Again, you’d know all this if you bought dragonflight, subbed for a month and tried playing the game.

Did you, like, just watch streams or something for the first 2 weeks for the fel drake, then go back to recreationally troll posting on the forums?
