Ah, I see. I mean I understand such perspectives, when I first started PvP the most overpowered ability was Thorns from my point of view, if I had known about forums back then I would probably complain about how Thorns is overpowered and requires a nerf.

Exactly, because it buffed them when not needed! They were already fine, with that change they got S tier (again!). For what reason would you do that? Especially if that is an additional nerf to other classes?

Like Blizzard even themselves admited rated arena was mistake. I think in like Old interview/blue post from Like Cata-Mop era it was. Curently Wow rated pvp is worst from any competitive game, Very hard to learn for new players as nobody will play with you for example and you will be stomped by veterans too. Like why would any new player Play Rated PVP in this game? There are other games where it is easy to get into Pvp, very easy to learn, but very hard to master for example. Wow Pvp is Very hard to learn and even harder to master. No wonder Blizzard is making such memes/mocking it, im pretty sure they know about this issue. Not to mention balance each season changes drasticaly, its like a random Wheel of fortune each season, This season Ret, Demo lock, DH, Warr Had their luck of a draw for example, this is not a good way to balance game by rotating which class is gonna be broken.
If pvp paul legitimately upsets you - take a deep breath, close social media, go for a walk, hang out with your friends, read a book. It’s clearly nothing but a silly joke, come on.

In fairness, PVP used to be a very big part of the game. Brian Holinka back in WoD butted into an exact replica of this argument between pve and pvp players where the pve side said that “pvp is such a minor part of the game, shut up” in a tweet and stated the following (paraphrasing):
"People that took part in Arenas, random battlegrounds and rbg’s made up more than half of the playerbase. Not a minority "
Whether this is the case still, I don’t know
I personally disliked the tweet for 2 reasons:
A) If they meant it as a joke and meant nothing bad with it, then they should stand by it and not delete the tweet - Which to me seems not only cowardly, but confirming their animosity.
B) I pay for the game just as much as any pve player does. I am fine if PVE is the main focus of the game that they get the most attention, but we should get some too.

Those who say PVE is minigame of wow, most likely are PVE Paul’s. And most of them are bad at PVP and just switched to hate mode.
Without wow PvP wow success would be at least 50% less.
I would give up wow 15± years ago if only PVE. Or switch to PVP game , GW2 probably, better PVE experience+ PvP.
After zillion of years playing I even don’t know any PVE streamer ( hazelnuts and some Max there was?) Those I would recognise.
Swifty was probably very first YouTuber what I watched and followed. Venruki, Anthena ect.

I know is all supposed to be a ‘comical joke’ but it was a little bit out of touch, considering as you say, we PvP players, as customers, are humbly paying our sub every month. Bit rude if I may say so.
