Tokens are sold to players with pre existing gold. So demonstratively itâs more then possible for players to make that gold themselves and as you put it âcompeteâ.
In ArcheAge resource sinks scaled with your property. The richer you were, the more resources and time you had to sink into your property. The system was set up in such a way that players had to determine how much wealth they wanted to pursue, relative to what it would cost to maintain it.
In Vanilla, once you got your epic gear, gold for repairs was an actual problem. I remember keeping a set of blue gear for world content and sometimes pvp, because I wanted to save gold.
Of course, to make a good gold sink the game needs actual systems. For example, in ArcheAge the main resource sink was real space housing. There were finite plots, players had to compete for houses, but⌠every player needed access to houses to be viable at endgame. But there wasnât enough plots.
Players were encouraged to get as much property as possible, and then charge those who canât afford it. An entry fee to enter my house and use my crafting benches.
I think a real space housing system, with taxes and everything is exactly what WoW needs. It will syphon wealth out of the rich, while the casual players will have to be content with their one house.

You cannot just buy every single Zinâathid and post it 1k each, because that will create a massive hole in the market and the rest of the sellers quickly fill it out. If you just keep buying and reposting at 1k people will keep filling the hole and you will be bankrupt in an hour.

im not sure what baiting is, but its really naive to think that only few people got capped with several characters dont use âotherâ methods.
The majority of players do not even hit gold cap on one character.

Not to mention the fact that reducing the amount of gold an account can hold doesnât stop those players being rich, Theyâre just as rich as beforeâŚ
